It takes clutch platforming to do it right though

I'm trying to rush through it my second time, because I swore that I wouldn't start speedrunning it untill I beat it 100%

Ummm... You have to have platforming skills to beat it...

Well I beat that Lake Kingdom koopa master cup race just now, but i was unable to do that ridiculous jump combo over the wall, I just kept on and on doing it the long way and just got lucky in the end :D

The koopa races are defo the hardest part of the game for me so far, although the trace walking is pretty screwed up at times too

100%ing the game is not required

Guys I am having a bit of a mare with the 100 Jump Rope Challenge in Metro city, the most I can manage is around 45 before I lose my nerve

I watched a couple of glitch videos that show you how to obtain 99999 jumps (I only need 100) but I can't get it working properly for me

I have been able to lock the camera but I can freely walk around, not like the guys in the videos who seem to have messed up movement

Any hints or tips that explain better than the video please ?

I didn't watch the video that you shared, but I'd highly recommend the original a+start video about this glitch as it does a great job explaining how to pull it off and is the one I used to pull the glitch off:

After hours of trying and failing this morning I found a much better video which had me succeed in a couple of minutes

This one here helped most for me, its a great glitch

I have all of the moons in the first 7 kingdoms apart from the beach volley ball 100 challenge in seaside kingdom, the most i have managed is 48

Anyone got any advice on this one other than watch you tube ? I tried a few videos but they are not really helping because its all about personal agility

Sadly there is no glitch like the jump rope challenge

EDIT : Tried using the 2 player method to play as cappy but still just about making 50

It seems someone on reddit managed to pull it off with the glitch but not seen anyone reproduce it

I finally beat that one yesterday. The 2 player method was actually harder. I kept running in circles to keep my speed, and I kept throwing Cappy at the ball if I couldn't make it in time

Nice one mate, I figured you probably would have.... I honestly don't think I will ever be able to do it, I tried for a solid 2 hours or so, tried it normally, tried it 2p, tried for a while to work the glitch but no chance

Only thing I can think of is finding someone local to get it done  trouble is, everybody my age has grand kids and doesn't play games or anything

I didn't read the past messages to not get spoiled.

    1. is there a way to know how many collectibles you have/remaining to find per world?
in all past mario's and yoshi's games, there have always been a way to know if you forgot a coin, star, wool, flower and and start the level again to get them.

    2. I'm at world 2 3 (sand world), and would like to find everything before advancing to next world.
I think I'm missing only 1 moon (based on parrot's hint), or none (based on captain toad)
I think the parrot only gives you hint to what's possible to find, as ittold me I found everything in world 1 even if I saw a moon on a floating island.
So, I think I miss one, and toad will not help me find it.

    3. I'm missing 3 coins, I really don't know where it is as I've done all the map few times.
there's probably a hidden area I missed, but I don't know how to know which one I missed without looking at a guide and check them one by one.

    So, my questions are :
    - is the parrot's hint about the moon on the floating island?
    - are there any triangle coins in the floating island on second sand world?
just to know if I should stop walking around for nothing and go to next world, or if there's a way to get all coins right now?
I know I could just advance in the story and come back later, but in all games I like doing everything possible in order before advancing.
