Suggestion to keep the site from closure

In my opinion it was a bad move to incorporate the Rom requests section. and expand the site. By adding the non essential elements and moving away from the original purpose of the site you have attracted much unwanted attention and eventually this site will probably be closed aswell.

When I first started using this site, it had a low profile and an excellent service. It still has an excellent service of course, but the profile has grown with the flood of users on the forum making requests, thus reducing chances of survival.

Use your head - provide small amounts of new roms, keep it discreet, and dont do requests. Might be a good idea to remove the forum too.

Im not trying to be negative here, just thinking in terms of the site surviving.

Its just a shame to loose the original discreet service without all the stupid requests.

Just look at audiowarez community they all have discussion boards will LIVE LINKS, but it's impossible to get account there.

So from my point of view .... the best for this site is to STOP accepting new members. Big N will be even after this forum if ROM or ROM Links will be available here.

But since number of members is more than 5K now, maybe it's already tooo late to make some restrictions.

As Precious_Whore and I where planning firstly, there can be a request forum also, but the roms are not provided here, but rather in the irc chan!

There could be a number of ways to do that in a fast/auto way... but making a request and getting it like one or two days later isn't that bad!
Plus, most requested stay online...

Still needs some planing ... but what do you think about this?

attention..
small site doesn't mean small profile or to be invisible.. even with the original formula, GBATemp had 10.000 contacts in few days..
we are searching a mod for non live links in this forum, but ain't easy.
