Gaming Strange coloring combination of a Gameboy Advance

I do not know if it is a trick of time or a fault during production, or a rare limited edition?

I have this purple GBA but with black face! The upper cover part actually is two colors black purple.

I would like to know if anyone knows what it is or seen it before.

It could be a dye job, I rarely see it for game consoles but who knows where someone worked/was owed a favour, but more likely someone took off the front cover and sprayed it black. It not being in the recesses (speakers, Nintendo stamp, what could be under the screen glass/in the screen recess) and those scratches to the top right of the screen. Not sure why the buttons are like that (though if it was sprayed from below, on indeed the top of the GBA as the case may be, in another GBA and transplanted it could explain that).

This is what I thought in the beginning but does not look like someone paint it over the plastic. I will try to take clearer photos in day light.

Definitely recolored (dyed or painted, airbrush maybe). You can see the original purple in the speaker grill.

I agree, altered by paint, dye or ink. You can see the wear through from playing . nothing special here.
