It's not powerful enough to have any thought at all, we've not successfully pulled off stable native rom loading off the sd card, I don't think GC is anytime off that

I thought you need a smash bros 3ds game for that.

Is basically this but part of the game itself. You can get just the controller app from eshop for 1$ (not sure why is free) If you own the game you don't have to buy the seperate app, is part of every game.

My point was to have something like this but work on the whole system, not just restricted to that game only. :P

To clarify; Something to make the system function similar to the gamepad

basically what she wants is to be able to use a 3ds/2ds as controller for any game (wii u i think :P) so she doesnt have to get a controller and can just use the 3ds/2ds as a standalone controller

It isn't just about being "powerful" enough, it's also the architecture of the system being emulated (don't ask me for specifics, I don't know).

We have a PSX emulator that runs at a good speed, but we don't have a functioning N64 emulator at all.

To be fair the N64 was waaay more powerful than the PS1 in its day.

The PS1 only seemed on par because of its pre-rendered graphics made possible by the large/cheap disc media.

I can't tell if it was either the popularity of the ps1 that made it seem more powerful (second most popular home game console of all time), or it seeming on par that made it popular. (or if it was just the amount of content for that console.)
