Hacking Smash WiiU adding in skins. Help?

So, I really wanna learn how to add/modify skins in smash wiiu. I have homebrew launching through @Kafluke self-launcher. However, I am not sure what to do from here to add/modify skins and then re-add them to the game. Tutorial? Another Thread? Help is appreciated.

Wish I would be able to find it easily on there. I asked, but it got me nowhere.

By skins do you mean character textures or just simply textures?

Costumes on characters, like shadow for sonic, dark bowser from bowsers inside story, etc
