I just dont get it to work.
In CFG USB Loader, im getting the same error for all the games i have on my 3,5" 1,5TB external HDD.
The error on the example of Super Paper Mario:

    Code:
    Super Paper Mario
    [R8PP01] 0.41GB IOS21

    [+] Booting game, please wait...

    IOS (249)
    IOS Reload: Blocked
ERROR: setting up fragments -2 3
    ID mismatch: [R8PP01] []

    ERROR: SetWBFS: -3

    Press any button to exit...
I copied the game on this HDD via Wii Backup Manager (latest version), HDD is formatted to NTFS.

    Try (in this order):
    - set another cIOS in the USB-Loader: 250(base57) or 251(base58)
    - try another loader: Wiiflow or USB-Loader GX
    - try d2x base53-alt
    - try another HDD

The HDD is externally powered right?
    ------------------
I added some additional information to the guide.

I just want to thank you for this very descriptive tutorial!
When Fail0verflow decides to realese their exploit (most likely late next year), do you think you would be making a Wii U mode tutorial as well?

    Yes I have.

Got Super Paper Mario to work on USB loader GX by changing it from ios 233 to ios 250

Games that required a special setup to work aren't working at all just yet. I've only tested this with guitar hero: warriors of rock

Ok i can get most of my games to work.

    Im running base53
    My hdd is external power.
I just can't seem to get it working :(, any help would be great.

I finally got my Ycable but I am having issues, can't get the HDD to be recognized?

I plugged in the mini USB into the HDD
I plug in the RED USB to the left side (looking from the front side of the Wii, standing up)
I plug in the BLACK USB to the right side (again, from front, standing)
HDD boots, doesn't go through bootcycle like previously
    I go into Homebrew Channel
    I load up Wiiflow
It says can't find any games, select a partition or something of that nature, click on partition and it just takes me to setting sreen

what's the possible reason? And yes, my PC and Wii recognizes the HDD. it's in WBFS format

You must not have read the tutorial. The usb must go in the back. Remember Wii didn't have ports in the front. Thats a hint.

I had a similar problem. Switching to USB Loader GX worked for me. If you do remember to change all games IOS to 250 or 251. Sometimes 250 works and vice versa.

Ok so when i load up USB Loader GX, it doesn't detect the HDD? But wiiflow does..... yeah it's confusing me too, would changing the IOS make the detection of the HDD work?

hey guys, need some help here.
i ran most of the tutorial up to installing d2x cios installer.
i couldn't get the installer to run at all, once clicking it on the homebrew channel, the installer opens but then in red letter it reads unable to find module.....etc.

    any help? thanks.

hey download the d2x from this post http://gbatemp.net/threads/full-vwii-softmod.339899/
i got it to work from using that.
also once the d2x installer starts press right on the thumb to get to the cios installer screen and follow the rest of this guide.
    hope this helps.
