Hacking Shuriken USB (USB Gecko SE (clone))

One of my shuriken USB v2 went dead on me. If I load gecko OS ether on gamecube or wii and if I try to push a song over with geckomusic the progress bar will freeze and I have to turn off the system and reboot. I tried my other V2 its fine any idea's?

Yes when I boot geckoOS though swiss then I get to the screen I see the options and the little green gecko symbol but if I try to do anything it will freeze and not recover. The other one is fine and everything works but there is some things I wanted to talk to you about other then the problem I'm having now. This is the one I tested with when you first sent me the new version and after I had the problem with freezing I started using the other one.

Sounds like a bad solder joint between the ftdi and the cpld if you ship it back i can have a look at it see if i can fix it.

try uninstall the windows drivers and re-installed first put the usb cable out of it
then remove the drivers put in the usb plug and reinstall again and boot maybe it will helps

I opened the case this morning and a trace lifted right at the ftdi chip. So i took a fiberglass pen and sraped the trace further down and placed a very small peice of wire at the exposed trace and soldered the wire from the trace to the pin of the ftdi chip. Works fine now thank you for offering to take it in for repair but i wouldnt of sent a 15 dollar item all the way to Europe just to costly. If i couldnt of fixed it i would of asked you if you could sell me another but thank you.

@happy_bunny Sorry for the very late reply but the newest Gecko.NET download works perfectly with the Shuriken. I haven't had any blue screen issues either since using this version.

The circuit board is loose best man therefore he will play and which no longer fit well in the B slot of the Wii he still works but to solve this without me to open it do ???

lift up the PCB and apply a small amount of glue to the underside (where the tweezers are) then put the PCB back down, that should stop it moving around in the case.
