This is the place I get all my info from, so I thought I would see if someone has a solution to my problem, before I throw the Wii away.

2008 Wii.

D2C Mod Chip not being used, but is still installed, now soft modded.

4.2U System Menu.

Bootmii as boot2v3.

Homebrew Channel installed and working 1.1.2 ios58v24.32.

Network not initialized, and I'm not able to connect to wifi.

I have know remotes sync’d, I am using a wireless game cube controller to do everything.

Priiloader installed and working v0.9.

I have a nand backup from 06/25/2010, Wii still not working after a successful restore.

cfg_usbloader v70 loads and tries to load the game, but get black screen.

Used ModMii v6.3.1 by XFlak to re-hack, this should have fixed it, even if I had a bad nand rip. It didn't.

I use ModMii all the time and have successfully hacked a few Wii's, I don't think I did anything wrong, but then again I still have a brick.

Tried 4.1u nand formatter and Setting editor, did not work, still a black screen as before.

Could it be a bad nand rip, bad wifi module, or a bad Bluetooth module? How can you tell which one?

I'm not able to sync my wii remote since all I get is the black screen. The controller I'm using is a wireless game cube controller that sync's to a dongle attached to the 1 port.
I bricked it a long time ago and don't remember what I did to cause the brick.
If the modchip is dead how can I test it, or since I'm not using the modchip how hard is it to remove it?

Here is my SysCheck:

If I remove the SD card, then it boots to the black screen. If I have SD card in the Wii then it books to bootmii or priiloader if I hold the reset button
cfg loader runs but when I try to play the game it black screens
All apps load

sorry I read your post wrong.

The boot to blackscreen was already turned off. I turned it on after reading your post wrong.
I've disabled it again but I still get the black screen

I would recommend turning off all your hacks right now and see what difference that makes.

I can remember modding wiis in the past and enabling some hacks and they actually turned on other hacks instead.

I have no idea then.

Could be a banner brick where you installed a bad wad, or it could be the wifi/bluetooth module or it could be your modchip causing it.

1. Since the modchip could be bad. What if I remove it, since a modchip is no longer needed and try to turn on the Wii to see if it works?
2. If that doesn't fix it what if I remove the Bluetooth module and try to turn on the Wii to see if it works, or is a working Bluetooth module required to be installed for it to work?
3. If that doesn't fix it what if I remove the Wireless card module and try to turn on the Wii to see if it works, or is a working Wireless card module required to be installed for it to work?

The bluetooth and wireless modules need to be working in order for the wii to turn on.

You could swap out parts from known working consoles and see if that fixes your issues.

Channel error.jpg cfg loading.jpg

I spoke to soon. My disc drive is not working, it does not pull the disc in and when pushed in manually it does not spin. I think the disc drive was broken before it crashed but the Wii was working fine besides the fact that it could not play disc. Now the Wii boots up, but the shop, weather, news, mii, & internet channels don't work. The usb forwarder loads cfg, but when you try to start the game, I get a black screen and then the same error message. I formatted the Wii using the system format in the Wii settings, then rehacked. I've also formatted using the 4.1u-Nand_Formatter. I've also used ModMii to rehack it from 4.2u to 4.2u and reinstalled all the channels. I've also updated the Wii to 4.3u officially through the Wii rehacked it with ModMii. I'm still not able to play backed up games that I own. BootMii loads and works fine. The HomeBrew Channel loads and works fine. The MMM loads and works fine. Patching of ios 236 completes successfully. Prii loader also works fine. Since the disc drive isn't working, I'm going to install a 2TB 2.5" Hdd internally, if I can ever get it working.

Is there anything else that I can try.
