I didn't try that, I'm assuming it will prompt me to update if I try to DL anything from eshop and IDK if I can even install a wad. I'll give it a shot but I'm ready to go drastic.

When you are "ready to go drastic", make sure your router/network settings are back to normal.
you must try to update from a Cold Boot(complete power off) AND do not go into vWii(wii mode).
Go straight to update.
If that doesn't work,Cold Boot(complete power off) AND do not go into vWii(wii mode).
Then go into eshop and see if it will update you.
If that doesn't work,Cold Boot(complete power off) AND do not go into vWii(wii mode).
Then go into internet browser. See if updating will occur with 1st 2 options.

It may download the updates but it may never install them.

U don't recon we should uninstall the ios before we put the update on?

If you are trying/have tried almost everything suggested. It doesn't sound like you have anyway to use usb or write/delete NAND or even an exploit to get into the vWii to gain access to those.
It's my understanding that you can't even READ from your NAND in vWii(Wii) mode.

A hardware programmer or a WiiU exploit MAY be able to overwrite your vWii NAND to reset/rebuild but it looks a like an at-home solution is running out of options.

I'm not even sure an WiiU update will go through. But if it does it may just correct something enough so HBC can be installed.

yeah I follow your instructions exactly.

Ok, well here are your remaining options as of today:
Keep your WiiU and save $80.00 (dunno if that includes shipping/handling) but live without hacked vWii.
And if you want, buy cheap Wii and hack the crap out of that.(less than $80 might even be backwards compatible with gamecube)
And wait for a TRUE WiiU exploit to be released (by that time NAND writing under WiiU/ppc should be available) and we should be able to fix vWii NAND. (Or f0f releases a HBC that is less finicky and maybe ios selectable.)

Or send your WiiU in to Nintendo and hope for the best.

Or buy a used console WiiU off of ebay and sell yours as is (meaning working WiiU/vWii just not hackable) Show excellent pictures and even video(if possible) and someone will take the risk.

Or you can buy a re-manufactured WiiU straight from nintendo (for about $200) and sell your complete WiiU(on ebay) for more than 120.00 and you're ahead of the game.

I'm worried that because I can't update, the wii-u won't be able to play new games. I think I'm gonna send it off to nintendo and hope for the best. At least I'll know that I cleaned up my own mess. I'll keep u posted

Hey, I'm really worried about screwing my wii-u up again so can anyone help me through the process. I know I can find all this stuff myself but I'd appreciate if someone could over look what I am doing. I want it to do these things:

Homebrew channel
Bootmii
Loaders with gamecube support
Nintendont
Snes emu with game covers and forwarder
nes emu with game covers and forwarder
Genesis emu with game covers and forwarder
GBA emo with gamecovers and forwarder
N64 wads (mario kart 64, ect)
Emulated NAND so I can install as many wads as I want
Anything else that is cool.

On my previous attempt I managed to get these working:

Loaders without GC support
Nintendon't
Snes emu without game covers and forwarder
nes emu without game covers and forwarder
Genesis emu without game covers and forwarder
GBA emu without game covers and forwarder.

First and for most, can someone send me an up to date tutorial and files needed to completely mod my vwii?

Thanks

Just wait a little while to see if things sort themselves out (because of new update). Do NOT take the update unless explicitly instructed to do so.

ok on the USA side (as far as the vWii updates go). It doesn't look promising only two titles/ios's appear to be added or changed. Neither seem promising.

vWii System Channel 'HCZE'
Title ID: 00070008-48435a45

vWii IOS62
Title ID: 00000007-0000003e

What channel is HCZE

I softmodded my wii u, installed homebrew and got all the emulators and roms to work, but then i installed menuify and updated the theme to darkwii and since then when i go in to my vwii and click on anything it freezes and I have to unplug my wii u to restart, is my vwii completely screwed? is there anyway of restoring it or getting it to not freeze?
