Lol, lots of recently abandoned the people here in the west that're pissed if you look @ their moba game chain chronicle (luckily & sadly I didn't get to play it) after they/their publisher were/was done with money milking. They want to comeback here, well I'd say become trustworthy 1st...after that I'll see if they're worth spending the money on. Kind of waited years for PSO2 &
to come over in english on vita/ps4...

I don't know if it's just me, but I think Asian game companies seem to have gotten more aggressive in their money milking practices & sadly the west is also starting to copy those practices.:( I just hope they won't make things a bigger mess. Sure they have some nice games, but keep those danged business/only money oriënted people away!I don't need another company that only cares about €£¥$ etc. instead of the quality of their service & products.

We'll have to see but Sega didn't give GBAtemp a key for Hatsune Miku Future Tone even though they wanted one: http://gbatemp.net/review/parappa-the-rapper-remastered.593/#comment-5874
That can't be a good sign.

Sega has done a lot of cool things like enabling Steam Workshop for their Sega Genesis Classics Collection on Steam. They also picked up the excellent Hatsune Miku Project DIVA games for localization. Sega does not issue C&D for fan games based on their own IP.

Still, those plans are really generic. To sum it up it sounds like "we want to make money by making & selling games, especially to the West." Which, as a game company, sounds like a good business plan :)

Probably the same way I can still play a shmup against planes the same despite playing against interdimensional forces of pure evil.

I can understand a series not being able to return after you face some awesome enemies/go to space/up the stakes massively but a whole gameplay style? Also there are still quite a few in indie circles, usually not as tightly controlling as Streets of Rage (and the various fan versions thereof), and the whole beats of rage thing.

still unless they go sprite based, in 3d the game would look wierd and out of place, sure if they go sprite route they can probably make a decent maybe only digital game.

the beaten up genre is buried imo atleast the way it worked before now its basicaly action combo 3d games but like i said i dont know if streets of rage would work on that way.

Shenmue is already happening, we know that. Whether or not it will live up to expectations, we'll see.

Jet Set would be fantastic to bring back. It's really a unique gem that nothing else has come close to capturing.

Shining Force is my personal favorite, however. Fire Emblem does a great job in the tactical-RPG realm, but I always preferred Shining Force ever so slightly. The Shining series has continued on to include various titles even in more recent years, but they shift around genres and none of them fit the tactical RPG theme that made the original 2 games so amazing. (Never played through Shining Force III, so I can't really speak on that one.)

That was my first introduction to the series. Great game. Sad that they haven't made another sequel yet.
