Hardware screen question

If you have a 4.x XL (preferably 4.4) go to:
-system settings
-Other settings
-Profile
-Nintendo DS Profile

On this screen what does the background look like? is it a solid smooth color or does it look like a bunch of horizontal lines?

I have two xls and one has lines while the other is solid(firmware 6.x). I'm not sure if there's a problem or if Nintendo simply changed it in firmware updates.

that is only the background. nothing to do with your screen.

seems like only the ds profile screen going through other menus but Im just curious if its normal on earlier firmware and if Nintendo changed it to a solid color in a later update.

it just looks really weird like rows of pixels are messed up or something.
