the following method leaves your saves and channels intact (including boot2 and HBC).

if you wish to start over from scratch (as like, it's straight out of the box), format your NAND backup using ohneschwanzenegger and then do the method which i posted. Although, you'll have to run the hackmii installer through a exploit to remove bootmii as boot2.

About to try on wii, but does the foramt restore everything like IOS, and CIOS?

No, formatting the NAND backup with ohneschwanzenegger completely wipes everything off of it.

listen to me... if you installed the NAND backup using BootMii right now after formatting, it will brick your console completely and you won't be able to do anything at all (apart from only running bootmii from boot2).

Anyway, what is it exactly that you're trying to do:
  • are you formatting & reinstalling everything from scratch?
    or
  • are you just reinstalling everything and leaving the saves & installed channels intact?

NO i haven't I did the last one, so then how do I keep it fresh I did your first method, im about to konami, is that a good way, because according to you formatting erases everything off the nand right?

formatting the NAND backup with ohneschwanzenegger completely wipes everything off of it (you can tell it's been formatted by opening the NAND backup in nandExtract. as you'll see, the only thing that will be left remaining, will just be the folders).

installing a NAND backup with RestoreMii replaces the exsiting NAND on the console with the one on your SD card.
using ohneschwanzenegger, do the following to restore/fix your IOSes on your NAND Backup:
  • search & init your NAND backup
  • in the top left box type '3.2U' and hit enter
  • wait whilst it downloads...
  • then type into the same box any system menu either '4.1U' or above and hit enter
  • wait whilst it downloads...
once it's done you should have everything as like new (if you have any saves or channels installed, they'll remain completely intact), but you'll have to restore your cIOSes, cMIOS and BootMii IOS though.

when installing a clean nand created by ohneschwanzenegger, RestoreMii may require you to enter the komani code which can only be done by using a gamecube controller.

The Komani Code is: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B & then A

If you're planning to send your console to Nintendo, I’d suggest using the method which involves using ohneschwanzenegger to restore and fix any original IOSes on your NAND backup. If you have any saves or channels on the backup, they'll remain completely intact (unless, you decide to format it).

By the way... ModMii only downloads the files, it doesn't install it for you.

That, you'll have to do yourself...

RestoreMii comes included with BootMii and that is a tool which restores a NAND backup onto your console.

ohneschwanzenegger creates and modifies NAND backups to use with BootMii.

I know and okay I did the last method wii works bootmii and priiloader are gone I'll just install it, and that's what I want it, is cause my IOS' went corrupt last time I modded it wii and the ripping of game didn't work for any game on any loader, and due to a lot of IOS' being corrupt and I know, I have to install by modmii. Also what that method to restore and fix any original IOSes and if I do format my NAND is it gonna brick or just clear? DOes this affect my nintendo shop download history. Also I tried it and did a syscheck to see if any of my IOSES are messed up here take a loook under spoilers

If anything looks wrong tell me what I download from Modmii, and also if I want to restore Ioses, and format does it brick if not let me know. I want to make it like nothings been hack, cause atm I'm lost to which IOS is not working

If you could tell me which files to download mod mii if any necessary, or go with a fresh NAND that not even N can tell has been hacked will be appreciated

The download links for ohneschwanzenegger and the required .dlls can be found here. Once downloaded, you'll need to extract them to the same folder.

Anyway... follow this carefully and do the following:
  • create a NAND backup using BootMii
  • use ohneschwanzenegger to do the method which i posted (don't format the backup, otherwise you'll lose your save data and any channels that you've installed)
using ohneschwanzenegger, do the following to restore/fix your IOSes on your NAND Backup:

  • in the top left box type '3.2U' and hit enter
  • wait whilst it downloads...
  • then type into the same box any system menu either '4.1U' or above and hit enter
  • wait whilst it downloads...
once it's done you should have everything as like new.
  • Then, restore the modified backup with RestoreMii via BootMii (enter komani code, if required)

I tried this already I did that method no backups nothing I don't have priiloader and bootmii anymore though but what I'm curious of is the Ioses are they gone, or are they still there if so how do I update them, cause I wanna get rid of any Ios trace I modded it. That's why I posted my syscheck tell me if there is anything wrong.

IF I need to update via mod mii then tell me which ones, specifically as I don't wanna add anything unnecessary

your console should then be ready to send to Nintendo. :)

I get error while trying to delete the IOSes, you load it with IOS 61 right?

I know I just did it sorry about that, well so far got rid of all the Ioses, now to do the program thing again, this will make it like is factory fresh right? just uninstall hbc and im good right and about bootmii does it uninstall or how do I do that? and priiloader

Note: I'm doing this cause in my last hack my wii messed up, and a lot of stuff went wrong my ripping wouldn't work some gc messed up, and other things. this will make mine fresh like it hasn't been hacked right? And thanks so much for the support!

P.S making My Nand backup with the deleted Ioses do I now follow the previous steps with ohneschwanzenegger? Then I have a new wii in a sense right? "virgin" nothing fresh no custom nonsense right?

just follow the instructions that i've given you and you'll be fine. :)

with HackMii Installer: just select to 'uninstall the homebrew channel' and to 'remove bootmii as boot2'.

with priiloader: download the installer from ModMii (download page 2) and when running the installer, press minus to uninstall.

Edit: once you've restored the backup, you will be very close to.

Okay thanks, and If I do decide to mod this again, safely without damaging any Ioses again, do I just go to modmii and tell it my wii is a virigin and go from there? Cause incase I mod I don't want this to happen to me again. Thanks btw! SO MUCH!

USB Loader GX works straight from the SD card.

DIOS MIOS replaces the MIOS slot on your console

the ModMii softmod wizard should download the recommended cIOSes for you, you'll just need to install them yourself when required.
