Ah... Wouldn't it be lovely to have a phone with NFC and a app that has all the amibos and you just choose the one that you want and the wii u or the 3DS would just read it like a normal amiibo. Maybe some other stuff even like editing amiibos on your phone... ah man can dream. [Keep in mind that I have no clue how amiibos work and stuff, just a dream that I have]

Works well. My only wish is to be able to choose where the bin is saved when you save tag, along with being able to rename it before saving. My downloads folder is a mess and I have to save the tag, then go into a file manager and move/rename it every time. I'm not forcing you to, but I do recommend it as it would be very useful. So far I've only tested tag scan, tag save, and tag restore. I'm going to test the SSB editing later, and once I buy a few NTAGs I'll be able to test card creation. I can see this being very useful for when I want to play with amiibos at a friends house but don't want to drag all of my amiibos over to do so.

Just released a new version which saves files into a folder called "tagmo". The filename now also include the name of the character to make it easier to find.

Awesome, just started using it and wanted to say thanks and had a couple of questions.

So "Write Tag (Auto)" is for writing a bin file onto a blank NTAG, so what's "Write Tag (Raw)" used for?

And when I dump an Amiibo, is it also dumping the Mii Owner information, and when restoring writes the Mii Owner info onto the NTAG? What portion of the bin file is the Mii owner info?

It's really no biggie since owner info can be wiped at anytime on the Wii U. Just wanted to be sure.

So "Write Tag (Auto)" is for writing a bin file onto a blank NTAG, so what's "Write Tag (Raw)" used for?

Write tag Raw is somewhat of a legacy feature it's used to write a bin file straight to the tag without doing id/signature patching. It's only of use if you edit the bin file to match the new tag manually using the amiitool on pc. It was useful to experiment with at the beginning. I'll probably remove it or make it a menu option in the next release.

And when I dump an Amiibo, is it also dumping the Mii Owner information, and when restoring writes the Mii Owner info onto the NTAG? What portion of the bin file is the Mii owner info?

Yes it does dump and write the mii owner data.

On an encrypted amiibo file the owner mii data is in offset 0xA0 to 0xFF (encrypted obviously).

On an decrypted amiibo file (what you can get from https://www.socram.ovh/amiibo/ ) the data is at offset 0x4C to 0xAB.

if you want to copy your own mii to a downloaded amiibo:

1) get a amiibo dump which has your own mii
2) decrypt both dumps using the socram service.
3) Copy the bytes from 0x4C-0xAB from the decrypted dump with your mii into the decrypted dump of the downloaded mii.
4) re-encrypt the edited file using socram service.

write/restore the newly encrypted file using tagmo as usual.

That's really good info, much appreciated, and I love the recent update you have where it has the amiibo name/series in the file name. Very useful.

Also, just wanted to add that my Asus Nexus 7 (2012) works with it. Mine is Rooted, but don't know if that's necessary.

I got mine off ebay, £4.25 for 10 delivered. Work really well, ive just written my 60th tag with no problems so far :grog:

These are the ones: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-25mm-W...156461?hash=item41ac64b96d:g:wlAAAOSwtJZXW-vK

Yeah I have a few of those. Was mainly looking for the cards because I would just loose stickers :D I managed to negotiate with the seller on aliexpress for 50 cards, that will be plenty for me :) I have an N2 elite as well if needs be, but I want my most used ones on proper cards

Hey, I'm having some difficulties. I ordered some 215 tags from alibaba; dude sent me a bunch of 213 tags then resent me some new 215 tags.

I got the keys by following this
"To find the key file Google: Use this to Encrypt your custom Amiibo NTag pastebin
You'll find a .bin file, open in HxD and "split" it in two parts (the first 5 rows and the second 5 rows), then save the first part to "unfixed key.bin" and the second to "locked key.bin". "

Now I am getting the error "Failed to decrypt tag" This is the same error I got from the 213 tags; but I know these are 215. Any ideas on some assistance?

Failed to decrypt tag usually means that your tag dump file is corrupted or invalid. I would suggest you try a different one.

You don't need to split the keyfile anymore just use the whole file in the load key menu.

Install the NXP Tag Info app from app from play store and scan the blank tag. In the info screen it should say whether its a 213 or 215 or 216.

NTAG215s can only be written to once, correct? My understanding is that once it is created, the Wii U is not able to save updated Amiibo progress/saves to the NTAG215. Is this correct? Thanks...

The WiiU/3DS will be able to save the progress just as it would for a normal amiibo. The read only just means that the type of the charachter cant be changed (eg. A Mario tag cant be changed to a Samus one). The amiibo clones created with NTAG215 will have excatly the same features and limitations as a real amiibo.

The NXP Tag Info app is correctly identifying it as a ntag215. By the "tag dump file" do you mean that the amiibo dump file is corrupted/invalid? Or the key.bin file is messed up. The amiibo file I have is 540 bytes and fresh.

Edit 1: I found more bin's at that ISO site. That NFC site has bad dumps I guess. Thanks so much hidden :)
