When i try to boot the game through smash-selector in saltysd mode, the screen goes black for a bit, then it crashes to home menu. I reinstalled the update from the eshop and it still crashes on boot. I even deleted my save.

EDIT: I reinstalled Neos and made sure my sounds and ui files werent corrupt, and everything was set up as intended, but still crashed on boot.

How new is your cartridge? I think I heard that Nintendo started releasing smash cartridges that came with one of the newest updates. If they did, and they changed the cart id, then I just need to add support for it. If you open fbi or bbm or another cia installer what information does it say about the cartridge?

I also just remembered that someone in the past had an issue with their cart, and they fixed it by deleting their save data. If you want you can try using one of the many save data tools, backup your current save then delete it. If it boots then try re inserting the save backup and see if that works. It could still be my first guess, but I dont feel like getting my 3ds out to compare to my cart maybe later. Also, it looks like the same numbers, so I dont think that is the problem

    i have latest Luma3DS (6.6)
i copied saltysd and some mods to the sd on their folders
i copied the .bin to luma/code_sections

then i started Smash Selector, selected SaltySD and the mod folder, then i pressed B to start my cartridge, after smash loaded i went to N's Castle stage and well... the custom BGM i copied to bgm folder didn't worked, this also happened with C. Falcon skin, it didn't worked

i read a lot of tutorials and everyone says something about pressing select on Luma3DS configuration and selecting
"Enable region/language emu. and ext. .code"

but my version of Luma3DS don't have this option, it have instead "Enable game patching"

    what can i do?

That's because you are using a nightly and not a stable build...

Hey, quick question: the Hashes are supposed to be the same when checking SHA-1, right? Because mine are completely different.
    Any way to fix this?
(While I'd love to post a picture, GBATemp apparently hates uploading them at the moment).

Edit: looks like it uploaded anyway, but I put the hashes up anyway.

    USA Hash: 3180582653
    SaltySD SHA-1: 747032582b743eb7ddc9ce15171b73811b20265b

I changed the server has type to be a murmur hash instead of sha1 I did this for speed, so it doesn't take forever on the 3ds. The newer version of smash-selector has murmur hash used. You probably have the newest version as I don't think it has changed in months.

So that's normal then? Just wanted to make sure.

Also, I've been having the crashing issue in my game. I've:
    • Made sure it's 1.1.6
    • downloaded multiple times
    • reset save data

And nothing has worked. Any tips?

Crashing is normally due to mods. Is it happining when you load certain stages or random? Do you have any css position edits?

I copied the file pack directly into the folder, and it crashed without loading anything. I get a black screen and kicked to home with the restarting error.

    I downloaded this pack:

For some odd reason I can't download SaltySD, it fails for all 3 regions. (I'm trying to download SaltySD because the mods just stopped working at one point so I just erased everything and started over from scratch.)
