That'll be enough
Thanks a lot--and to those in the discord chat that helped.
Not sure if I missed a step, but "backup SysNAND" wasn't available in the Godmode9 scripts (only clean up and setup Luma), so I had to grab it myself. After that, everything went smoothly.
Man, it feels so good to not have to worry about official firmware updates anymore. Nevermind all the cool new toys I can play with XD
Yeah this is being fixed right now.
OK then. Thought so. Well, we will see if any of my predicted unlikely scenarios comes true in the future :-p
what happens if a file already exists, for example i run OCS but i added the safehax.3dsx manually?
From what I see it checks to see if safehaxpayload.bin exists. If it does, then it skips downloading anything, but if it doesn't it redownloads everything. It doesn't check each file individually.
im asking this because older versions have problems with the newest safehax release
Nice! Congrats on getting your tool into the guide.
Aaaand it got removed
If we wanted it to be put back in it would require some rewriting.
What did he say was wrong with it?
If you want more specific information search for the phrase "Can you comment on that so that we can have a target goal?" in #meta in the Nintendo Homebrew Discord channel
Thanks. Sorry to hear that :-(
Omg! As simple as it is?
Im kinda of glad it got removed, its a great program but I think its good people do the step by step. It kinda gives them an idea of whats going on and if a part of the process fails they can restart that particular part. I ran the OCS once on mine just to see what it did and if something fails or github or something is down at that moment your left clueless.
I need help about this, my 3DS stay here. I cant do anything more
This looks like some internet problem. Try using some other sort of access to internet.
Yes, that is. Very thanks
I know this method's a bit older and all with 11.6 out and stuff, but I've got an Old 3DS XL running Ver. 11.2.0-35U and I've followed all of the steps and also get the "UNSUPPORTED FIRMWARE" error. Have you or anyone else gotten this and fixed it as well?

Also I'm not sure if this is related, but the old Soundhax homebrew installation for boot9strap to get to luma and all of that is doing something similar. Launching safehax.3dsx in Hombrew just gives me the same message that says my firmware is unsupported. My system doesn't crash from this, it just sends me back to the Homebrew menu.
Delete ocs, download the homebrew launcher and 3dsident, and then run 3dsident
Then tell us the kernel version and the firmware version that 3dsident gives you
Kernel version: 2.54-0
Firm version: 2.54-0
This 3DS has been modded before but I removed it for a friend, but then it turns out they're fine with it on so I'm putting it back on again, so does that affect the process in any way?
