why when I try to rebuild a cia it freezes my computer this the second computer I tryed on
This isn't the place for that. This thread is about the ntr plugin manager...
"Arm-none-eabi-gcc" is not recognized as an internal or external command, Program or executable batch file.
Is Gateshark2NTR dropped in a temporary location and executed from there? If so that'd be the cause of the false positive.
Edit: Never mind, I see that you didn't bundle it in the main executable.
Hey nanquitas, i fix my problem, but, i can translate this tutorial to spanish and publish a theme??
Yeah, no idea of why it does that...
I'm not well versed in the virus stuff and such, so I don't know what the antivirus are looking for, but since this app generate a code file then launch 3 subprocess (Devkitpro) maybe it comes from that ?
Anyway, nothing harmful in it, for the people which are unsure whether to use it or not - there's no need to be afraid, but I get it, np -, know that you can use it without any problem on a Windows VM.
Yeah of course, be free to post a tutorial for the Spanish people, it can help those which have hard time with English.
If this can compile the txt file to NTR, can it do the exact opposite in any shape or form?
I think no hehe
It's not possible, a plugin is an executable just like an app / game's code, not some cheats file.
I am confused. How do you install DevKitPro?
Like any software, go to their website, download the .exe of the Updater and run it.
is there any way to make Gateshark2NTR make smaller plugin files? The ones it makes are not usable by extended-memory games (such as Super Mario Maker, Sm4sh and Pokemon Sun and Moon), due to their being well past the 300 KB maximum that mode 3 allows. So...is it possible to make a Gateshark2NTR with mode 3 compatibility?
I am having the same issue. It may be simpler to write our own plugin file using a NTR Plugin template. I am having this issue as well, trying to remove as many codes as I need to reduce the file size but it doesn't seem possible with this application. I will try porting some myself and post back with the results (Including the SELECT menu)
I did a test compiling only one cheat with the SELECT menu template format and it still comes out to 595kb (NTRPluginManager exports at 569kb with a lot more cheats). The select menu may be too much to run on Mode3. I will now try to compile on classic plugin menu (NTR's native cheat menu) and see what that file size comes to.
So the native cheat menu one exported at 31kb but it seems activating the cheat through the NTR menu freezes the game. Select menu seems to be the only option for modern NTR cheats (at least on Mode3). Which means someone would have to optimize the hell out of the menu which has been done for MHGen (https://gbatemp.net/threads/monster-hunter-generation-cheats-plugin.434897/). The user somehow brought down the file size to 470kb which will run on O3DS on Mode3. The only problem is this user has not given his source so it's impossible to tell how he optimized the code.
Correction: you use BootNTR's Mode 3 version. That's how you activate NTR plugins created that way.
Wait...so, there's a 470-KB file that runs on Mode 3 for o3DS? I thought the size limit was 300 KB. Apparently the size limit is actually 500 KB.
I've found a 468-KB file for Super Mario Maker. Perhaps I could give it a try.
300KB is not the limit. it is just a recommendation not to go over 300KB
please let us know if the 468KB file works or not
It does indeed work. However, I just wish there were a way to optimize that SELECT menu so it wouldn't be over 500 KB. So I can finally get my MOON JUMP! LOL
It's not possible, as said here.
Gateshark2NTR has been made a long long time ago, when Mode3 was only a dream for O3DS users so I never thought about it.
is there a way you could slap together another txt to plg converter that makes much smaller (as in less than 500 KB) files? Everyone would be most grateful. Some people have tiny SD cards, so the smaller the plg files, the better. I'm also looking forward to the day when someone builds a cheat-search engine for BootNTR that runs similar to what Gateway uses. The day that happens is the day Gateway officially dies.
It's not really the converter the issue, it's the lib I use (the menu).
I don't have the sources anymore and I don't want to do a new one just for ~6 games.
There's already some plugins for those games and you can also do your own using the manual way, if you remove all the images it's less than 300KB.
