Most likely, yes.

Alright, sounds safe enough to try. I would have liked to be able to run ntrboot_flasher (from the other already cfw'd O3DS I have) and inject ntrboot to the cart instead of using the B9S firmware to get ntrboot on there... but I guess that is not possible at this time

Anyways... I guess its time to download @AngelSL ntrboot_flasher build and the original B9S backup.bin @pandavova posted and try?

Yup, that's what you should try. Same for @Criminal90. But please, do a backup first.

If any of the devs need a tester for the r4i-sdhc (dsi version) then I'm happy to help. I won an r4i b9s so I don't mind if the sdhc gets bricked

Ok the flasher works fine with the R4i 3ds RTS WIFI
R4I-SDHC-RTS.jpg

now it's a R4i B9S and you can use the R4i tool for switch from nds to ntrboot and vice versa

Has anyone tried the new R4i B9S flasher with the dual core/dated carts yet? If not I'm gonna test it. And thanks @Kitlith for pushing out the NTRBoot flasher so we can dump the flash image from the flashcarts and fix what the R4-SDHC's flasher broke.
Update: The R4-B9S flasher doesn't recognize the dual core cards, so I guess there's some sort of difference between them and the normal R4i-SDHC RTS cards.

@RedBlueGreen Thank @AngelSL for their work on this, too. They took some of the stuff I transcribed from Rai-chan's IDB for their original flasher, added it to what they got from their research on the r4isdhc.com cart, and has much cleaner code as a result. (The reason why writing didn't work on the builds I provided was because I removed one sanity check but forgot the other sanity check, which I didn't know was present.)

In general, I'm glad to see that unbricking works now! Mainline support for these carts will come as soon as injection is figured out.

I'm not surprised. *of-couse* there's a curve-ball somewhere. Shame.

The NTRBoot flasher works fine, it backed up the flash from my card, but I was trying the R4 SDHC 2016 Gold Pro (one of the dual core carts I believe?) with the R$i SDHC flasher made to revert the B9S cart.

Well it is r4isdhc,com (which I believe turned into a virus pop up scam or phishing site since I was redirected when I tried it after getting my flash card, which is why I used the , and not .) not the r4i-sdhc site. So it might not even be the same team.
