I've actually flashed the good backup sted in the thread a bit further up and it seems to have restored the NTRBoot functionality. I'm just trying to remove CFW from my 3DS to confirm it
Don't need to do that. It will boot ntrboot.firm if it worked so just rename godmode9 as that or something.

As I have CFW though GodMode9 will boot regardless. Or will it tell me what method was used to boot it ?
Well then just use safeb9sinstaller renamed to ntrboot.firm then.
It's all about distinguishing from what usually boots from cfw.

so good news: it all works. I just didn't flash the 3DS properly. Now the problem is stuff beyond my own control.

So for getting a no-fuss flash cart, It's good deal, especially if your going to do that stuff for others too. What I am concerned going forward is this issue i'm seeing with people's card's getting bricked, which is concerning, especially if you need to update the card's firmware.

I do hope that they get their act together and get their issues fixed, cause this is a great no-fuss card i'd recommend people to get into the CFW scene

Apparently tonight the team is releasing a fixed FIRM for the revert process

Ahh, I get ya! I was being dense, sorry. So no, it does not look like it has been restored. It's a brick :(

Strange. From my testing a dump from one cart should work on another.

Could you dump the cart again and verify that the restore was successful (i.e. the dump is identical to Kitlith's file)? Thanks.

Oh god, im hyped.
I tried to dump the flash with the new ntrboot_flasher from Kitlith with my bricked R4i-3DS, and it worked.
Here is the backup.bin (its a zip file, in there is the .bin):

Just looked in the File with a hex editor, FF everywhere. :/
