Hacking R4i 3DS Gold and Animal Crossing game

The other day I posted a thread asking about which flash card to buy for my 3DS XL and
Ended up deciding on buying the R4i 3DS Gold For my 3DS XL.

I know that I won't be able to play 3DS Roms But I wondered if I would be able to play animal Crossing new leaf with the action replay cheats on it? Or is there no .nds version?
I have the game downloaded to my console from the E-shop But when I looked around for Roms all I saw for animal Crossing was Roms ending with the 3DS extension not .nds..... So does this mean that game will be off-limits for me on R4?

A friend of mine actually bought the animal Crossing Newleaf physical game card and then the action replay device Which seems to work well together..... Is this the only option available I will have for playing this game right now on a ROM?
The R4 card doesn't work with downloaded games from Nintendo e-shop on 3DS right?

I guess I'm basically asking if I will be able to play animal Crossing New leaf (newest version) on the R4 card and my 3DS XL...

i think animal Crossing new leaf is a 3ds game, so you can not play it with your r4i gold 3ds card on the V8.1.0-19 3ds console

You can play Animal Crossing Wild World, but not New Leaf.
