Hacking r4 not reading any of my roms

apparently im also having the same problem. my r4i that worked before shows its game icon, but when its opened it shows a black screen then flashes white then black again without loading the r4 menu. even if I remove the sd card the usual sd/tf card error sign dosnt show.

I just got it so i don't know what to do I literally just received it in the mall just this morning

maybe its still an sd card error on yours. try running your r4 without an sd card and see if any errors appear

Patriot SD
SanDisk SD
and a
SD that just say Micro SD and none work

Nope it stays the same two black screens but nothing is happening its just black is that bad?

Try formatting your sd with the quick format option

its not an sd issue since no sd/tf not found error appear so its probably the flashcart

You can ask for a replacement from your reseller if you like. It should be normal that they'll replace it since it's still brand new

I still haven't done this on mine but have you cleaned the flashcart metal parts with a cotton swabb

well like I was saying in my previous post try cleaning the place the ds reads data with a swab

Try cleaning the contacts of the card, sd card and the slot 1 device. You can try updating your DSi to the latest version since the cart supports up to 1.4.5 the latest version.

I think so. That's your only option but before updating, run the cart and press start and press help. If it says DSi 1.4.5 go ahead and update
