Hacking Question about updating from Gateway 2.4 to 2.6

When I update do I have to backup the nand again and format the emunand? I already did that for 2.4. Also when I'm updating do I just copy the launcher to the root sd card and run gateway or do I have to copy the files to the blue cart micro sd first and then copy the files to the sd card?

Just copy the launcher.dat to the root, and then launch the exploit. No need to format.
If the card needs to be updated it will tell you. If not, verify that you are on 2.6 by holding L during the profile exploit.

just replace the launcher on the big sd card. If you didn't start any ds games the exploit should still start (otherwise you have to install the exploit again through the blue card).

There is no need to backup your nand again, if you replaced the launcher.dat you can update your EMUNAND through the systemsettings (make sure you are on your emunand).
