Hacking Question about 15% Trick

Sorry if this has been asked, and I'm 99% sure it'll be a yes...

Can I do the 15% trick with a DVD5 version, then just run the DVD9 version afterwards? I don't want to waste time/disc on a second DVD9 if I don't have to.

Well you could do this:

First start with the DVD5 BB version and then in the menu swap for the DL disk
