I just bought one of those although from a different seller. Don't know what qualifies as being legit to you, but it works if that's what you were asking.

Yeah, as long as it works I suppose, thanks. I only recently learnt that you don't have to buy the official memory cards. £6.79 with free (but slow) shipping is good, is there a better place to order from for the UK?

I should note that the ones that come with a black shell and white lettering supposedly have some issues. Mine works fine but here are reports of them not working. But it seems you're going for one without a shell.

Is PSVSD the better adapter?

SD2VITA is easier to use and does not require you to open your console.
PSVSD only works on the 3G model of the Vita, it requires you to open your console and remove the 3G card to install the PSVSD card.

The main advantage to PSVSD is it does not use the game card slot.
