PSP "value" pack goes for 249 new?
The fact you're getting a 1.5 and the fact they also include a 2GB MSPD sweeten the deal, so yeah, this is an awesome price.

I'm really thinking about buying a PSP after hearing about this and maybe I should buy it in that eBay auction.
Its really cheap and already comes with a 2GB(or 4GB) card.
What I wanted to know is if anyone here bought one from that seller because what I'm worried about is if I have to pay more money because the product comes from Hong Kong or if I just have to pay the shipping and thats it. (I don't buy many things from outside my country so I don't know)

Many thanks to Dark Alex for this awesome discovery and release

It depends how they label the package. A lot of them label it a gift so they can get past customs without having to pay any sort of customs or something. But yeah it should be fine, i've had a $600 video card shipped over and it worked out fine.

Yep it works great. I upgraded to 3.02 OE -A then to -B in about 20 minutes from 1.5. real easy. I had to pull myself away from playing castlevania Symphony of the Night on my psp to go to work this morning. Just absolutely incredible. All my 1.5 written emulators still work perfectly and the PSP ISOs work even better than they did under devhook.

You will not be sorry if you do this.

At the end of the first disc of FFVII for example, the game asks you save. just load up the second disc and load that save file. I'm trying to remember if xenogears does that because I don't want to start playing it again if I can't get to the second disc.

That Psp could be a downgraded T082 or something, in which case would brick if you tried to update to 3.02 OE-A-B
I thought it was the simple fact that it was the T082 that prevented it from going TO 1.5 right? I may be wrong though...

EDIT: my bad, just read this.

The way I understand it is that only 00km can harddown a TA-082 MB and so far he isn't sharing his secret. Also a TA-082 MB which has been harddowned to 1.5 shouldn't have a problem upgrading to 3.02 OE since it can install any firmware 2.6 or greater.

I suppose only 00km or Dark AleX would know for sure about that. Though I would say chances are good that if you get a 1.5 firmware psp it will have one of the first two motherboards. maybe it's a refurb but who cares if it works.

I've installed 3.02 OE-B now...
Devhook 0.51 doesn't work, it starts but then it just restarts the PSP...
is there any other way to launch Isos that require a later firmware than 2.71 using a USB connection?
or is there any mod of Devhook 0.51 that works with 3.02 OE-B?
