Hardware PS3 refuse to start? HDD issue

Hi,
so after experiencing power failure and failed attempt to do restore file system, now my PS3 refuse to start
every time I'm turn on the PS3, I am greeted with message
"The file system on the system storage is corrupted and will be restored."

and later on if I select OK, the restore process will then end at 40% with message
"an error occurred during the restore operation. the system storage must be formatted. all data on the system storage will be deleted during formatting"

I don't want to lose my games and saves. I have 1TB hdd almost full of games downloaded from psn, and redownload all would be nightmare. not to mention I will lose some of save files (I uploaded some to the cloud, but not the recent ones)

any idea how to fix this?
I've tried safe mode and select restore file system and rebuild database, both both stuck at "preparing..."

fyi I'm on OFW 4.78

You could try taking the hard drive out and ghosting an image of it to a new image using Linux,

It'll take a couple of hours at least for sure but if your hard drive is really truly dead what have you got to lose by trying

is it the one that created by 3141card and requires an eid_root_key?
unfortunately I don't use cfw, so I have no idea how to get the eid_root_key

yeah that was the one i was referring too. sorry i didn't realise you weren't on cfw, it will be no good to you
