Hacking ps3 question

hi if i but a ps3 with rebug 4.61 installed but a faulty bd drive will this be an issue ?,as im assumeing i can load games over the network ? im not new to cfw consoles but am to ps3 ? many thanks

And I answered my own question its fine as there is cobra and no bluray support now

Yeah you can run games without. Though replacing the drive isn't tough either
