Hardware Ps3 Media server stuttering

When i play a movie on my PS3 using Ps3 Media server, the movie stutters alot. Sometimes it can be fixed by pausing the movie for a moment, but it won't work for long.

is there a solution?

I use it without problem using the ethernet port. Are you by any chance connecting your ps3 with wifi to your network ? And your PC ? If so, that may be your problem. Try using ethernet cables for the PS3 and PC if possible.

Sounds like either your connection or your PC is too slow. It's probably not the PC unless you're trying to transcode 1080p video though. But yeah, try hooking your PS3 (and PC) up to the internet with cables instead of Wifi, it will probably provide a massive boost in speed.
