Hello. So I plug my memory cards into both of the ports, but yet it doesn't show up in the device menu. However, it works fine in the games, loads up without any issues. I should note that the memory cards are official PSOne and that I don't have a PS1 console with me anymore. The PS2 is a Slim.

Is there any solution to this problem? If not, is there another way to edit my MC? Like through a PS1 game or a FMCB app (I have FMCB)? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Either use ut as is, or find usb mem card reader. They are quite cheap there days. They are used for ps3, but can be used on pc
Thanks for the reply. I need this purely to clean them up because they're filled with unnecessary saves.
I looked it up and couldn't find any MC-to-USB adapters available in my country, I'll try to search deeper and might be able to find one.
Other solutions are still welcome.

It opens my ps memcard with no problems. Other solutions are usb reader, and mem card purge. There is elf for that
Sorry, I definitely won't purge my memory cards because they contain pretty valuable stuff, like 35-hour FFVII and 50-hour DQVII saves which I'd like to keep. I'd rather not do that. Also, as I said, I cannot find any USB readers in my country.

I tried different versions of uLaunchELF (4.37, 4.42b, 4.42d), yet none of those works. Maybe my memory cards don't work while the PS2 is in normal mode, but do work while in PS1 mode?
I'll try to seek a solution and if I won't find any, I'll just take my memory cards to a friend who owns a PS1 and do all the necessary changes.
