Can this be hacked?
How is it compared to the fat? heard the screen is of low quality
Also can I access the store if its hacked? will it brick my vita if i access it?
also any worthwhile ps vita game?
1. I heard the screen is almost if not close enough to the OLED to not bother most people.
MicroUSB charging is a HUGE plus.
the touchpad is smaller and the grip areas increased to make touching the touchpad accidentally a lot less frequent (it happens a lot for me on the Fat)
2. the PSP Mode (PSP Emulator) of the PS Vita can be hacked via running a exploit via a PSP Gamesave, same as with the fat PS Vita.
No PS Vita mode (Native) exploits/hacks exist at the moment. the only known one was patched a while back too and did not lead anywhere.)
3. once it is hacked, Sony will probably ban the PSN account of anybody running homebrew or hacks on their vita (excluding PSP Mode hacks)
they will not brick it as it would end badly for Sony if they did as multiple governments would sue them, especially Europe. they are big on consumer protection. some people actually got partial refunds for their PS3's when Sony removed "OtherOS" from the PS3 even.
4. Pretty much the same list as Arizato. I would recommend these games on top of that list,
(not in any sort of order or rank)
1.Metal Gear Solid HD Collection: It plays pretty good on the Vita
2. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time: Plays good on the Vita. reminded me of what the Vita is about, Console quality games on the go. it's framerate is not 60 like the PS3 version, more around 25-30 but still enjoyable.
3. if you like racing games, Wipeout 2048: It is a lot better than Wipeout HD and Fury on PS3 (at least I think it is) . it also includes HD and Fury content too and has online multiplayer.(never tied MP yet)
4. if you like Ratchet & Clank, and or hybrid tower defense games, then Ratchet & Clank: QForce (known as "Full Frontal Assault" [FFA] in the US, and possibly other regions) it has ok framerate (~20-30fps) but , the PS3 version is still superior running at 60fps)
Games to AVOID:
Jak and Daxter HD Collection: annoying input lag on Jak and Daxter and poor framerate (~15-25 fps), second and third games run a bit better and have no annoying input lag but still has poor framerate, but not as bad (20-30 fps).
If you want to play Jak and Daxter, get the PS3 version. All 3 are are buttery 60fps and do not have any input lag. I ended up selling the Vita version and getting the PS3 version.
