Hacking Problems with Henkaku & FTP

Okay, I'm having some problems getting Henkaku and MOlecularShell working on my PSTV 3.60
I've followed all the tutorials out there, and videos, and am having problems with the FTP part, so I can upload vpks and the like.
First, my PC and PSTV are all on the same wired network. PC in the office and PSTV in the media room.
Vita is the yellow cable.

I have MolecularShell installed and am going into the FTP portion of it. The first thing I notice in the videos is that there is no (SAFE MODE) on the screen. And it shows 3 directories. For me, it shows this:
Only one directory and SAFE MODE in the upper left.
WHen I push start and disable safe mode, I get (UNSAFE MODE):
and tons of directories.

So whatever, I press Select to turn on the FTP and get this:
Address and port...
I open up Filezilla
and press enter
Nope. Doesn't work. I get these errors all day long.

Some people have been saying online that I shouldn't put 1337 in for the port, but the admin port of 14147...well, that doesn't work either.

So, I decide to try SmartFTP. My old standby.

Well, doesn't work. Get this error.

So, nothing appears to be working for me.
Any ideas? Obviously something is going on wrong here...but what?
I should note a couple of things:
1) I am not logged into my PSN account. For the tutorial, it said to say you had no account so you could boot up with trial mode, or whatever. Do I need to sign into my PSN account?
2) When I was initially installing Henkaku, I inserted my 16GB memory card. It said it was tied to PSN acount 'xxxxx' and did I wish to use that account I said no...but then I couldn't use my card. So, I reformatted my card. That should take out all credentials on my card, right?

I'll answer a couple things here, to help you on your way.

For one, you're using the wrong Fiilezilla program. You're using the Filezilla server, which is what you'd use to host/manage an FTP server on your own machine. What you want is the Filezilla Client, which lets you connect to other FTP servers and upload/download stuff. Use this link: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php Though I'm not sure why SmartFTP isn't working, it's possible it's just a weird compatibility issue.

Two, the "SAFE MODE" you see at the top is because Molecular Shell now uses a "safe mode" to restrict access to certain directories that users/malicious apps could edit and potentially break things with. To remove that (and see all directories) you need to enable "Unsafe Homebrew" in the Molecular Shell settings and then reboot your Vita and install Henkaku again.

Well, okay, I uninstalled the Filezilla server.
Tried with the client and now get this error:

Do I need to be in unsafe mode to upload the whitelist and other vpks?

I think I may have figured it out...hopefully.
If I put the FTP addy screen in the background, it won't work.
If I leave it up, it works.
Voila.
Now to get the correct file extension for Genny games and voila again.
And figuring out where to put Vita games on the memory card.

Maidump games are required to be put in ux0:/mai and you must have maidumptool to install them, VPK games don't matter and can put be virtually anywhere since they're just installers.

If by "genny" you mean Genesis games, they can be .zip or .gen if you're using GenesisPlus
