Posting a System Check

Users can link to this guide so they don't have to write instructions on posting a SysCheck over and over. This is not a place to post your SysChecks, it's just a guide.

Creating a SysCheck.
  1. Extract the contents of SysCheckME.zip to the apps folder on your SD card or USB Hard Drive.
  2. Insert your SD card or USB Hard Drive into your Wii and turn it on.
    1. If you don't have an SD card or USB, you can still launch SysCheck as long as the Wii has WiFi. Just open SysCheck's boot.dol with ModMii (e.g. drag and drop syscheck's boot.dol onto ModMii.exe)
  3. Load the Homebrew Channel.
  4. Launch SysCheck ModMii Edition and choose to scan all IOS's.
  5. If SysCheck is stuck on one IOS for more than 5 seconds, it's frozen. Make not of the number it froze on and see Troubleshooting.
  6. Once it's done, press HOME to exit.
    1. Or Press A to upload your syscheck to the cloud. This is useful if you don't have an SD card or USB Hard Drive.
Posting your SysCheck.
  1. Turn off your Wii and put your SD card or USB Hard Drive into your computer.
  2. Open up "device:\syscheck.csv" with notepad
  3. Press Ctrl+A to select everything. Now press Ctrl+C to copy everything.
  4. Make a new post (in the appropriate thread) and create spoiler tags. Click between the "][" like so:
    SysCheckSpoilersNew.gif

  5. Press Ctrl+V to paste the contents of syscheck.csv between the spoiler tags.
  6. Save your post.
Troubleshooting
  1. Open up the SysCheck ModMii Edition meta.xml file with a text editor, preferably Notepad++ or Wordpad.
  2. Look for the "<arg>--skipIOS=0</arg>" line near the bottom of the file.
  3. Change the "0" to the IOS SysCheck HDE froze on.
  4. Save your changes and try running it again. If you are prompted about loosing format changes, save anyway.
  5. If it freezes on another IOS, duplicate the previously mentioned line in meta.xml and add the new IOS number.

Hi @JoostinOnline, I'm trying to fix this mess of wiiu that I made the mistake to buy on ebay: https://gbatemp.net/threads/help-wi...i-cant-update-the-system.466206/#post-7212800

As I only are able to run .elf from the smash stack, it will be super awesome to have the .elf of SysCheckHDE. Does it exist?

Thanks in advance
https://sourceforge.net/p/syscheck-hde/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/boot.elf

There you go. Download the file.

I get an error about permissions when I click on that link. Please either upload the picture to this site, or tell me what is in the "Stack Dump:" section of the error page.

Sorry about that, is now visible?

Thanks! It works!
I wasn't able to use the skip ios argument (it just ignore it, idk if I need to put the xml in a specific folder, I'm trying it on the root with the .elf) but I was able to check one by one.

Hi everyone.

I dont really know if i should be posting this here, but ive been having problems with loading up my games in my wii after some time. It was working fine till some days ago, note that ive been using WBFS manager 3.0 to transfer the games to the usb stick, and ive read arround here that you guys do it differently.
Ive run a syscheck to see what might be wrong and what more i could do, if anyone could help me out a bit.
thanks in advance

I have the following issues with my Wii and will post a sysCheck because of that,

Issue 1:
In Priiloader, getting into the 'Launch Title' Menu shows 2 errors before the menu of VC titles comes up:
WARNING: TMDSize Error on 00010001-4D414845
WARNING: TMDSiZe Error on 00010001-4E414150

Issue 2:
When another IOS is selected to use for the System Menu (for example IOS36), I get the following error when trying to use the SD Card menu:
The Device Inserted in the SD Card Slot Cannot Be Used

Issue 3:
Can't copy data or can't launch games from the SD Card menu.
It will say: Failed to launch. (Only Wave Race 64 works for some reason)
When trying to copy to my NAND I get: The data may not be copied. (I am sure I have more than enough blocks so ^^)

Issue 4:
The Disc could not be read when trying to launch discs from the Disc Channel like you normally would.
But discs are working fine with Gecko OS without any issues, launches 100% of the time.

Issue 5:
When choosing 'System Menu Hacks' in Priiloader:
Can't find fat:/apps/priiloader/hacks_hash.ini
Can't find hacks_hash.ini on NAND

Below is my sysCheck:

That's usually caused by a nonlegit title, if the Wii Menu's IOS is not trucha patched
For 4.1, that's normally IOS60 (unless you changed it in Priiloader, of course); and the fact it says "no patches" yet is the maximum possible version suggests it was meddled with...

Personally, I would try reinstalling the last working version of IOS60 (which is not the newest version downloadable!!) to see if it helps with your 4th problem (maybe applying the trucha patch too for the 3rd one)...

Problem 2, I can only vaguely guess, may be due to your IOS36 not supporting SDHC but your card being one? Assuming the SD works on IOS60...
(generally speaking, the IOS setting in Priiloader should be left at the default)

Frankly, I would download the last good version (which again, is not necessarily the highest version) of every IOS and install it - I haven't compared the regular-looking version numbers, but seeing maxed out former system-IOS versions and IOS80 at the correct version, your console reeks of a questionable anti-downgrade-brick pack combined with a jerry-rigged downgrade job...

Ok, thanks. What should I do to patch IOS60 in 2018?

Hello everyone!

I don't know where I should post this, so I'll try here... Long story short, I bought a Wii and tried to softmod it (I had never done that before so I really have no clue if I made some mistakes along the way) and USB Loader GX can run no game. Or, actually, it shows the preview and after a few seconds of black screen goes back to the main menu.

Now that I see this, I realize that probably d2x CIOS didn't work right (or I didn't do things exactly, this is also really possible). I tried selecting cIOS 249 base 57 v10 beta52, but it failed. I followed a video on YT which was uploaded in December, 2018 (and being this recent I wasn't too skeptical), and there it also showed FAILED during installation, so I thought that wasn't the problem.

I don't know if the syscheck in itself is enough... I can add that I installed BootMii as an IOS and Priiloader is also already there. Everything "seems" to work (at least to me) except when loading games...

I've been reading through threads trying to figure something out, but I don't have enough knowledge to discover what's wrong myself...
Thanks in advance!
