Is there any way to successfully inject a working manual partition into a rom that was built without the partition?
With the new seeddb.bin encryption on eshop games, the roms have to be manually extracted and rebuilt in order to remove the encryption and be able to play them without going on to the eshop. The easiest way (that I know) of doing this is to use 3ds Builder which doesn't have an option for including the manual partition.
I was able to hex edit a rom of Cube Creator 3D and "add" the partition, so the manual partition shows up in 3dsexplorer. The "Manual" option for the game shows on the 3DS home screen but when I select it, it gives the "The game card was removed" error. The game will still run fine regardless of this issue.
I'm hoping there is an easier way of doing this and doing it successfully. If anybody knows how, please share.
