Oh yeah, there's another thing I would really love for a hacked console, and that's to be able to set up Remote Play with a Vita without the requirement of being logged in to PSN during the pairing process. I have my 1.76 PS4 and 3.18 Vita paired and they can remote play just fine without connecting online (both are blocked from accessing the Internet in my router, but are allowed to access LAN), but they both had to be connected to PSN back in the day when I paired them, 1.76 and 3.18 were the latest firmwares at the time.

Obviously, this would require some patches for the Vita, too. But it would be great because then you could always pair a hacked Vita with a hacked PS4 regardless of their firmware version.

With CFW if we patch some games then we can get support for more remote play games.

I thought all games worked on Remote Play on PS4? Or are you talking about PS3?

Oh sorry I didn't know that. Well yeah on some PS3 games there are patches that can give some more games remote play support.

They had access to a lot of the features within the Vita pretty quickly with VHBL access with certain games even when the firmware was updated. The only reason Henkaku was such a big deal was because it was easy to do for average users. They only got kernel access on one firmware 1.76. No other kernel access has been publicly released. I mean look at the Chaitin Tech kernel access they disclosed it to Sony and it has been patched.

Well, VHBL access is good for all things PSP on Vita, but it doesn't do a whole lot for the native Vita environment. I've read Yifan Lu's blog and he says that the kernel exploit used for HENKaku (which was the first native Vita kernel exploit ever to be found for the Vita) was found in late 2014 by Davee.

Even if you can't hack all versions right away, having at least one kernel exploit at some point helps you a lot because it lets you look at the OS from the inside, easing your progress in finding more exploits for later versions.
I've also seen developers saying that they've known the exploit Chaitin used for years but kept it private. Developers often keep one exploit private and release nothing to the public until they can find another one, so that they can still hack and investigate future firmwares in private.

All I want is Bruteforce so I can modify my Bloodborne save to go with the GotY edition.

Editing saves themselves would also be fun.

Too bad the PS4 is so hard to crack.

What I definitely would like is a dual boot OFW - CFW with CFW runing game backup, or at least running DLC backup of a bought retail game.

But for now i'll have to wait 20 years until someone find something on ps4pro 4.07 :tpi:

The problem with that is that typically the CFW requires the console to be on a lower base firmware than the OFW, and the console might have some type of security outside of the NAND/NOR, or wherever on the motherboard the system software is stored, such as the fuses in the Xbox 360 CPU - that is only compatible with one of those firmware versions at a time, and it does not allow for downgrading because the fuse is physically burned.

Yes although if we get dual-boot CFW and OFW both on the same FW and used a tool like PS Proxy on the OFW it could possibly work out. I guess we just have to wait and see! :D

Well, loadiine wasn't that bad. But loading a 50 GB + game on a usb, just to play it? I think it'd be cool if we could put the install files on a usb, and use a homebrew to install it to the main menu. probably too much to ask, though.

I want CFWs for dumping of my disc games and free DLCs..

If not, just spoofing FWs of discs for me to play newer ones.

Yes a eboot patch could be possible.

That's it? Not interested in "backups" or anything else?

For christmas, i want santa to bring me PS4 backup loading :D

And perhaps a more optimised linux distro for PS4 that allows the use of the internal wireless chips (bluetooth, wifi) and sound via HDMI would be nice too. Perhaps 33c3 will bring us some new ps4-linux goodies.
