Anyone know why in the v9.10 patch with original names "Nitro Charge" has been changed to "Flame Charge"?

Isn't "Flame Charge" the American name? I'm not sure though.

Aw crap you're right, the only unchanged things are the peoples', pokemon's, and places' names

Will there be a patch to add in the new English names of Pokemon/Cities and other translations? I know the game comes out soon but a patch would still be great.

No, everyone working on this is going to abandon it until Gray's japanese release.

EDIT: It will not be named Gray. Gamefreak has already denied a "Gray" version. They said there is a 3rd game being made, but that's not the title.

Anywho- that aside that is no reason to abandon this project. There's so much left to do?
English: Pokemon names, location names, trainer names, some move names, etc.
It's gonna be awhile before the 3rd one is released :s

I enjoyed the dialogue in this translation FAR more than any pokemon game I have ever played. I actually grew to care about my rivals,N,and what would happen in the conclusion. I don't see how an official translation could do a better job so I will remain using this as it is flawless.

"Can't find the universal code pattern to be patched"

The rom is "std-pokemonwhite.nds" and I think that might be the problem. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you downloaded the EUR/NA ROM.

Sounds like you downloaded the EUR/NA ROM.

And it sounds like he went through HELL to get that.

Haha yea believe it or not, it wasn't actually that hard.

The problem is that I got it from freaking megauploads.
This is a problem because I decided to just get the one in the tutorial video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaB3PTnuSms) and apparently it can be gotten through mediafire and megaupload. mediafire apparently deleted for violation of agreement or something like that and I can only download one thing per 24 hours with megauploads without paying for it.

So yes, in a way it was hell which led me to another hell entirely.
I think the fact that I'm laughing and not raging means I need some goddamn sleep lol

Edit: What I did: Got a clean rom (5214 - Pokemon White (J).nds)
Then downloaded the patch
Then dragged my rom onto patch.exe
Then opened xDeltaGUI
Then selected patch.exe
Then selected the rom
Then applied the patch
And nothing happened >.>

My brothers seem to agree. I bought the game only for the "official" benefits, one important one is me not getting in trouble if I enter a tournament.

Why bother? The (E) ROM is VERY easy to find, and it's byte-for-byte identical to the (U) ROM. Both even have region codes of (O).
