Hacking Pokemon AS/OR Demo - And... Gateway?

I'm using a USA 3DS and will be getting the USA game. Now, since the demo is not region-locked, (It's technically the "EUR Release", though) let's say I put a header in the demo, and name it to .3dz, and once the full USA version releases, I put the same header in that one (and obviously make it .3dz as well,) Will the rewards transfer over then, since they're using the same header? Thanks!

The game doesn't have any online features. It simply transfers data to the cartridge/eShop copy's save when it's detected on the system

Yeah, I know the Gateway saves here are different than real saves though, so I was just wondering.

Pokebank works flawlessly with Gateway right now, so I doubt the demo will work any differently when the game comes out.

pretty sure it won't work unless you have a legit copy of the demo installed to the console from the looks of it you would need to have the retail cart (or rom i suppose) inserted while playing the demo to do the transfer

having a eshop version of OR/AS might work though
