How long does it take to install henkaku? I went to the site after updaying to 3.60 but now my ps button is flickering and the screen is black? Do I need to press a button or something?

Once you see the molecule screen it should only take about 6-10 seconds, then the browser will quit.
If its crashed (its done that once or twice for me) just quit out, reboot vita and try again.

I looked and I can't quite find this in any of the guides. If I stay on 3.60, can I still play newer games that require the new firmware? Mainly interested in World of Final Fantasy in a couple of weeks.

It doesnt look likely, see this post from yifan, one of the members of team molecule who created henkaku:

Hi, I want to buy a new vita on 3.60 (mine is on 3.61 :( ). When I'll buy a new vita, can I just put my "old" memory card in and have all my saves and games files working ? I ask this because i don't know if the data on the card can only work with the lasted firmware used (my card work with a 3.61 right now and will go to a 3.60 HENkaku).
And what about the trophies ? Can I synchronise them on my new console on Henkaku (I don't talk about online but just inside the console) ? If I synchronise online the trophies (if it's possible, I don't think so...) of a game that I don't buy or a digital game not from my region am I gonna be banned ?

Your memory card should work with your "new" Vita as long as it uses the same account. No one has been banned yet to my knowledge, but chances are you might get banned if you sync trophies for a game that has been released digital-only and you haven't bought it.

I know you can get banned for playing online, playing homebrew online or simply connected with HENkaku (I saw that on wololo) but about the trophies sync, apparently, if you don't use cheats to unlock to many trophies, sync leaked games trophies or like unlock the platinum before the others trophies, there is 0% risk. A dude unlock 1200 platinums (true or fake ?) with cheats on the PS3 on CFW and he never get banned. Also, I heard about a history deleter app to be sure.

No one can tell you for sure. You are syncing trophies and doing stuff online with a hacked console on your own risk. If you get banned it's on you.

    November 2nd 2016:

HENKaku has been overhauled to taiHENkaku. It uses the same 3.60 exploit we are all used to, but gives us access to a CFW framework. This means that HENkaku can be ported to other firmwares if an exploit is found.

taiHEN gives you the opportunity to run game and kernel plugins everywhere.

taiHENkaku is currently in open beta and can be used by going to http://beta.henkaku.xyz/ on your 3.60 Vita. Please note that the beta has some issues as of right now. From Yifan Lu's blog:

"It is currently in an unstable state. Some features such as PSN spoofing do not currently work. I hope to resolve the issues in the upcoming days. Meanwhile, I hope that developers can start writing plugins immediately while I iron out the issues. Again, the beta is only recommended for developers making plugins and is of no benefit currently for regular users."

    Other features include:

      • Loading compressed FSELFs are supported now
      • VitaShell is updated to 1.42 with a brand new HENkaku configuration menu that allows user configuration of PSN version spoofing. (Note at the time of writing, VitaShell has not been updated yet. I will push an update as soon as it is out.)
      • Unsafe homebrew is disabled by default This change means that some of your homebrew will not launch immediately. Before you panic, go into molecularShell, press Start, enter the HENkaku configuration menu and choose to enable unsafe homebrew. You also need to do this to use system and kernel plugins. More information on this change can be found here. (Note, this feature is disabled in the beta currently because the VitaShell configuration options is not out yet. It will be enabled as soon as that’s done.)

In summary, this is what they are releasing. Source is Yifan Lu's blog:

If you want to read more about the update you can do so on Yifan Lu's blog here:

From Yifan Lu's blog: "Right now the only exploit is HENkaku and it requires WebKit to work. However, if someone finds a boot exploit or an exploit for 3.61/3.63, all they have to do is load taihen.skprx and (ideally) every plugin should just work."

How does that give hope for cracking higher firmware open? That's been the sticking point all along, this doesn't help in that situation

I am not saying it will happen. But having a framework like taiHEN might motivate people to look for exploits. The fact that they don't have to write an entirely new base for a possible future exploit is pretty huge news.

    • ISO/CSO
    • Homebrews
    • Plugins
    • VshMenu, Recovery menu
    Differences between Adrenaline and TN-V?

    • Ability to take screenshots using PS + START

HENkaku will be active on your Vita as long as you have it on or have it in sleep mode. If you power your Vita off you have to start HENkaku again when you turn it on.

THX but i knew this already.. i mean, HENkaku is not permanent okey but TaiHEN is a CFW or isnt it? ...

I ask it differently: Is there now a permanent hack like a CFW for the vita?
    thx!
