I just finished downloading Sonic 4 Episode 2 and am confused about how to run the game via an external hard drive. There is a 400 mb pkg file, a 7 mb 3.55 crack pkg file and a edat file. Would it be possible for someone to either provide me with directions, or link to directions on how to take these files and play them off an external hard drive.

    PS: I have firmware 3.55 sc-36 hermes.

Put the file in the root of your hdd then plug it in your ps3.
You have to select install package files under games and install it.

you need to install it. you can use a simple USB pen, put it on the root of it.
Run the "Install Package Files" and install the 400MB PKG and then install the 7 MB PKG.

Then you can safely remove the usb pen and delete the file, the game will be installed and you can run the game from menu
