I'm sick of using the backup loader with its ugly look and slowness.

So i was **hoping** that there was a way to load the games through the Disk Channel instead?

You may it sound as if you had to go through a thousand menus to boot a game. It takes the same time to boot a game through the Disc Channel than through a Backup Loader channel =/

1) Ugly? Download a different GUI

2) Slowness? Have fun playing those DVDs at 3x, mate. Slower than USB.

3) Seriously? That's been possible since loooooooooooooooooooooong before USB Loader was released.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
