Is it possible to get a shiny on a Safe Frame? I'm trying for a bit but nothing shows up
Yes of course it is You might need to increase the length of the timeline. By default, it is set to 600 seconds, meaning it'll check for frames within ten minutes of your current frame, try to increase that to 1200 for 20 or 1800 for thirty minutes
thanks a bunch, I usually put 6000 and still can't find anything... and I usually put from 477 to 1 million frame. oof
Apparently there's a spot that makes it 0 NPCs, as depicted at the bottom of this page.
Ignore what it says, it is actually 0 NPCs, and the correction I got is 10. Maybe it's different for other people, but I doubt it. Latest commits of 3DSRNGTools makes it so you can change the default corrections setting (9). Doing that, learning about this 0 NPC spot, made one of the more annoying RNG tasks to a fairly easy one.
what do you mean by correction?
Should be 10 instead of 9.
edit: nevermind dumb question that i asked on this post, thanks
silly question but can you get banned for rng-ing pokemon via the plugin+NTR?
I don't believe it can happen but just to make sure.
I am very new to this, I have luma 8.1.1, b9s 1.3 and nanquitas BootNTR as a .3dsx file, opened with rosalina menu
first time rng, thank you!
No. The plugin is for RNG'ing Legit mon's since they are generated in game, the plugin just shows you how and when they are generated.
I also watched your video guide on youtube, very informative, thanks!
ok so i tried getting a kyogre but i cant get i i move towards it 4 frames before but miss it but then when i go 7 frames before it goes back down to 4 can someone help me
So the SoS feature is certainly not updating the chains correctly, it's a random occurrence but if you're like me checking every single Pokemon it does become problematic after happening 3-5 times in the same chain. Examples:
1. While battling eevees an Umbreon is summoned, I KO it and the next eevee appears on that slot but the overlay still shows the same previous Umbreon (And I made sure the Umbreon was in the SoS slot first).
2. There's this one occurrence where the SoS chain counter did go up but the Pokemon stayed the same (It showed same stats AND the same PP expended from the recently KOed one, so the slim chance that the exact same Pokemon being summoned twice is not possible)
3. The above 2 are also problematic because if you want to shift slots during this "bug" (ie. current caller is about to run out of PP) then both your Caller and SoS slots will be synched to the SoS slot being unable to make any further changes unless you allow the overlay to update on its own first.
is it possible to assign frame advancement to a different button? like dpad right or tapping the touchscreen? or maybe even the z buttons?
select on n3ds is such a weird little resisting button to hit countless times
More a rant than anything, I managed to spot a shiny 5IV Timid Blacephalon, I got it down to 1 HP, failed to capture it multiple times, it woke up and then used Mind Blown, killing itself. That fucking sucks. This comes after many failed attempts. I think using Festival Plaza/Aether Paradise, whatever, to advance the frames quickly messes up the correction because for me it's always 10 when I don't leave at all. I hate the long wait, so always use those two locations, 0 NPC spot, it worked for Ultra Beasts in SM, and the Tapus (except Fini) in all 4 games. Doesn't work all the time with this. Sometimes it does, it did in this occasion, and the UB ruined it.
How about using Heatran to prevent it from killing itself?

I thought it wasn't possible to RNG within SOS chaining. O.O
Well, it wasn't RNG'ing its self but using the app to keep me updated on the sos encounters

Oh, That explains.
That larvitar is so dreamy
