No you don't. You do have reasons to not buy their products. If they dont please you, it is a commercial matter, not a hate matter.

I do not liked the new sim city, but It will not change the good memories and moments I had when I played Sim City original, Sim City 2000 and Sim City 3000. EA do not attacked me, they just made a sequel that I do not liked. But if you still think that is a reason to hate, than hate it, but give your arguments, tell why you hate (like you did, but most people do not do), and dont simply say "this publisher is a piece of shit, and I'll clean my ass with it"

I think you are right however I'm not a fan of nostalgia.
I need new games that are good rather than looking at old games and remember all the fun times. (And yes this makes it extremely difficult for me to understand why people like particular old games that I haven't played when they were new, like FF7)
But you are right I have technically no reason to hate EA.

Looking at some fanbases though, its hard to work out what they want or it comes down to who do you piss off the majority or the minority

Some classic examples of these fanbases are: Sonic, Anything Blizzard Entertainment and Call of Duty
It's actually easier to tell than you might think.

At least they're trying to actually appeal to gamers instead of taking up politically correct standpoints and shaming people for not liking them.

I'm confused as to the point your trying to make as the video shows people want exactly what you do in a way :P

the point I was trying to make is that its easy to say what fans want. The same in better, not something completely different.
I can confirm that by saying that if Star Wars Battlefront will be like Star Wars Battlefront 2 it will be fantastic.

Milk money for me is just that, deliver to people more of the same. Creativity is what make games get better, but people fall in love for a franchise, and then come the sequels, and the lack of creativity do not stop devs to selling. In some way you are against inovation and you justify it saying that inovation is milking money because it aim to hit more people. I dont think it makes any sense.

(Not that I'm telling that EA is creative and wants to bring inovation to gamers, EA in fact want to bring gamers to the games, as you said.)

Now we're getting real off-topic.
That's true Games need to be creative every now and then but not every time. Creativity comes with it's risks and costs. It's either amazingly good or terribly bad.
Not to mention even if the Games that are innovative are better, the numbers tell different stories.
Ocarina of Time. A game praised for being revolutionary. A game that showed how amazing open world ARPG's can look like in the future sold worse than the 8'th installment in the Mario party franchise.
And if you think about it, I'm comparing a Advanture RPG that has a big hype with a family friendly mini-game collection that has little to no hype at all. (seriously when did the last Mario party came out? no one talks about it)
If we're talking about money milking then Nintendo was doing it way before it was cool and still does nowadays.
Whats the famous saying? Don't fix what's not broken.

But looking at nintendo we have the best example of creative risk.
The idea of the Wii, rejected by sony and Microsoft turned out to be the revolution of gaming and invention of motion control.
Then we have the Wii U. A idea that not even Nintendo knows what to begin with. Selling terribly with poor game library and small 3rd party support.
Sometimes even a uncreative game is more fun than a creative one and this is why we play video games, because it's fun.
I mean look at bravely default. This game might also be called Final Fantasy III-2 yet it's still more enjoyable than everything FFXIII (imo).

I cant help but correct you on one part and mention something else:

1. Nintendo Didn't invent motion control even though many think they did, An example the Sega Dreamcast says Hi! with its Fishing Controller and Maraca's
2. The Wii was Profitable but I would not call it a revolution in gaming, It just printed money when a bunch of people jumped on it before letting it become a dusty paperweight :P

That said I don't hate Nintendo or there products but I cant help but look at the facts here :P

Yup there's another one but to say the Wii invented motion control always hurts me :P
ah, but you said "Nintendo", not "Wii" :)

Also, it's not so much about Nintendo inventing motion controls as much as them recognizing the potential of motion controls. The motion controls used by the Wii weren't invented by Nintendo, but rather a garage-inventor. The guy who did create it pitched it to both Microsoft and Sony first, who both passed on it. Nintendo, on the other hand, saw the potential and made a huge gamble going all-in on their next console with the technology.

When I was talking about Wii's motion controll I was talking about the Wii-mote + Nunchuck formula.
There may have been Motion control before but nothing did that good as the Wii-mote + Nunchuck.
Now we have stuff like Sony's PS Move and Razers Hydra.
Maybe it wasn't a revolution but it definitely moved something in the Gaming Market, which is a already big achievement.

Add "in the consumer world" and I might agree; there have been some great industrial, robotics and design motion control type things over the years, many of which predate the Wii by well over a decade and the modern stuff makes the Wii look.... I can not really say a toy as it is one but similar orders of magnitude to when people make that comparison in other fields. Now several people in those worlds did come knocking on the Wii's door but with the price differences and the Wiimote being largely functional there it is not all that surprising.

I can't speak to EAs integrity but I can say many companies give away free stuff to attract positive attention to thier site/store, which statistically leads to sales (downnthe road).

In the business world it is referred to as a 'loss leader' They take a loss in the short term (writing it off tax wise often, to generate long term increases in sales projections. Like the toy McDonalds gives away. Restaturants like Bennigans make almost no money at all off the meals (but they do recoup costs) they make thier profit almost exclusively by thier booze sales. I had two relatives who worked for them (local Mangers, different stores) for 15 years running... made great money doing walk-around entertainment for them... a few nights a week. This technique is taught in most business schools around the world as one of many customer base increase methods. Heck I signed up with Origin and I've never heard of em but then again I stopped PC games for consoles many years ago...

What is everybody concerned about with privacy!?
What could EA, the CIA or anybody possably find of any intrest on mine or your computer???
What, you're all afraid they'll get to your porn or something?
My privacy is my business. Whether I'm doing things illegal, things I'm embarrassed about, or I just want the government and corporations to fuck off, it's my business.

The thing what I'm saying is; what do you have of intrest on your PC for them to start looking in the first place?
If "they", whoever they are, really think there is something on your pc they'd need to know about not downloading something like Origins wouldn't stop them in the slightest.
