Hacking Options For Download Play Detection On R4?

I have an R4i Revolution card, as well as a Gateway DS flash card, (the one they give you with the 3DS card.)

There are games like the later Pokemon games, that allow you to transfer data from one game to another via the Download Play function. You go to the transfer function in one game and it loads a Download Play thing for the other game in a 2nd DS to use to send data. However, Flash cards won't work with this type of Download Play by default, because the DS doesn't detect the flash card as the particular game it's looking for. (ie. Transfering save from Pokemon White to White 2, White 2 sends a Download Play that looks for Pokemon White.)
Has anyone ever found a workaround for this? I'm not sure why none of these flash cards ever have an option to customize what game the DS detects it to be.

There is no workaround as far as I know, since the game loaded in download play reads the cart header, and takes informations from the save chip AFAIK
