So i am in the hospital right now so i wanted to bring a small system and the wiiu also has a controller tablet you can play off so it was perfct.

So i had my family buy Super Smash bro brand new and splatoon brand new from canada and also bought the game pad and memory card for games.

Im pretty sick and laid up but i muddled through the prep and reaserch on the steps and got loadline working on my 5.32 wiiu wich splatoon updated it too.
So i woke up this morning and my wiiu was unpowerd so i turned it on and it was at 5.51!!!!

I didnt do the update or even played a single game and like i seen A few posts here the wiu couldnt have been in standby mode cause i just did it last night and powered down.

So am i now screwed? and i entered that tube hax primary dns code will thar protect me?and how can nintendo force a update like that? its not right.
I hope there is something i can do cause im gonna be sitting in this room for another month. THANKS

Theres 2 things you missed, you had more than one internet setting available and one of them didnt had tubehax dns setted up and you forgot the most important thing, disable quick start menu and downloads on standby which you obiously didnt do.

Well you already own Splatoon and Smash.... then go buy Super Mario Maker and as well Xenoblades X(buy them used to save $, also get Mario Kart 8) - you will enjoy your system owning those games(you can play online on all) while stuck on latest fw. Trust me your money is not wasted unless you never liked a Wii U in the first place on which = that's your own problem, I love mines

Hopefully soon(maybe 1-2 months) the exploit will get a release, according to *H it does work on 5.5.1 - then it will be waiting for homebrew to be ported on it. Just chill and have patience till all this happens.

Not true. Well unless you consider the supercard+ a hard mod. It can be used to run ninjahax then you can downgrade from any current 3ds firmware. No nand backup required. I've done it many times

You have some sort of video proof? Then only way to downgrade 10.4/5 is via hardmod and dumping NAND, patching it to a hybrid 10.3 we will call it, than writing it back via hardmod. Than use sysupdater / memchunk2 to downgrade.

Unless you have viable proof of 10.5 sysnand being downgraded via supercard, I call bullshit as it's not possible. Gateway would have exploited that long ago...

I know for a fact my Wii u is on 4xx because I only played dk tropical freeze digital and I never even updated the game. Now you folks are making me want to open my stored Wii u again to check if it updated. Could it actually update even when its is powered off?

Okay, I might need to clarify. When I used the supercard to downgrade it was 10.3 3ds firmware. I accidentally updated to 10.3 sysnand instead of emunand using gateway so I bought the supercard plus and used ninjhax to downgrade to 4.5 I think. Then I upgraded back to 9.0.

I see you guys are talking about 10.4/5. Maybe things have changed since then but the downgrade was cake using ninjax. I did a bunch for people once I learned how.

Is it different for 10.4/5?

If it's not plugged in to the outlet, there's no possible way for it to update with out receiving any power.

You would have used sysupdater through homebrew. It was patched in 10.4. You need hardmod to downgrade
