Hardware old gba game I used to play?

There was this gba game that i used to play about 10 years ago. It was a Japanese game where u fought monsters and could catch them, b they would turn into weapons for u to fight other monsters.
I remember that some of the monster in the very beginning look like carrots and would become a sword or a bear that would become a claw type weapon.
can anyone help me remember this game i really want to play it again.
