Hi all,

Due to private circumcisies I'm longer be able to maintain this list.

Sorry

Some have seen these list in another topic. This is a fresh start, with new lists and placed in the correct subforum.

These lists contains data from WiiTDB , so if you know some entries are not correct, you can fix it there and with a list update it will be changed automatically after the time it takes me to update.

I started with the genuine releaselist for Wii with the GBATemp information. That lists still exists, with another name, using WiiTDB data. So there can be differences from initial posting info on GBATemp and the info put by users on WiiTDB. On the games I checked the info on WiiTDB was mostly correct.

Now the number off lists has grown to 26. This is for most people too much but for those nerds who wants all: OffLineList All lists
  • All lists are bundled in a package together with a modified offlinelist and dummy ROMS.
  • All packages containing the lists with DAT number 0290.
  • No pictures included. Update the list and the pictures will be downloaded.
For those who want specific lists: the first split I made was lists containing
  • GBATemp: GBATemp numbering listings (the original
    happy.gif
    ).
  • WiiTDB: Numbering not so important (I’m just numbering them for offlinelist listings), all going by GameID.
And yes, there are full packages of them: OffLineList All GBATemp lists - - OffLineList All WiiTDB lists
Both packages contains files for 6 different language. [*]English (EN)[*]French (FR)[*]German (DE)[*]Spanish (ES)[*]Italian (IT)[*]Dutch (NL).Meaning: Wherever Game names are known for that language it’s displayed in that language. Also the language of offlinelist is already preset.

This abandonned lists are a subtraction of the Full list. Use the SOURCE search option in OffLineList to select a seperate list.
Beside the language, there is another separation in listings. The game type.
  • Genuine (Both GBATemp and WiiTDB), official DVD releases.
  • Custom (WiiTDB only), modified genuine releases
  • VC (WiiTDB only), Channel with non modificated old games
  • WiiWare (WiiTDB only), Channel with modificated old games, or new games
  • HomeBrew (WiiTDB only), homemade channels for games and apps.
  • Full (WiiTDB only), Off course 1 list with all 5 types mentioned above.

Calculating, 6 languages * 2 packages < 26…. Yes, there is an extra separation. I don’t like duplicates do I tried to make a list without regional duplicates. I called it:
  • World (In all package/type/language), list without regional duplicates. (Select location and you have a duplicate free list)
Another time counting… 6*2*2 still < 26.

Correct, special for myself I made a list with first the language of my first choice, filled with games not yet in list of the language of my second choice. (Other combinations are possible, mention it and I’ll think it over.) I called it:
  • Combi_(NL-EN) (only available in complete packages and Dutch packages)
So 6*2*2 + 2*1 = 26 .
grog.gif

For most people the GBATemp or WiiTDB language package will be enough. If you want something in between full package and language package. Download the full and delete the unwanted lists in the folders:
  • Datas
  • Config
The language package for GBATemp are here (Containing the Genuine and the Genuine_World lists):
English - Français - Deutsch - Español - Italiano - Nederlands

The language package for WiiTDB are here (Containing the Full (All available games with all info)/Full_World or Combi lists):
English - Français - Deutsch - Español - Italiano - Nederlands

Because Offlinelist was build for the DS. I needed to make some changes in settings. They are allready made, just info for experienced users.
In the language files (\Language\*.lng) I made the following changes:
Brazil="Free"
China="NTSC-T"
Europe="PAL"
Japan="NTSC-J"
USA="NTSC-U"
North Korea="PAL-R"
South Korea="NTSC-K"
Chinese="Info@WiiTDB"
Comment="GameID"

In the ini files (\config\*.ini) for the lists I made the following changes:
l1="PAL"
l2="NTSC-U"
l4="NTSC-T"
l8="NTSC-J"
l21="PAL-R"
l22="Free"
l23="NTSC-K"

As for seeing what game you allready have it's not handy to need the .iso on your disk.
So I made dummy games (.7z). (Inside the ROMS folder)
New dummies are available for download at same time as list update is available: Last Updates:
2011-04-26 DAT number 0327 Pictures are missing, will be available in next update

Might be stupid but can't see the differences between "World_FR" and "FR" (tried with Genuine / GBATemp)...

Do you have an example of game in one list and not in other ?

The Wii GBATemp Genuine (xx) list (v0303) contains 1925 games. The GBATemp Genuine World (xx) edition only 1812.

All the missing games are below in the box. If you look in the world list you will see there is another game with the same language for each missing game.
That are the duplicates which are left out.

Ice-Rabbit,

thanks a lot that's a nice app. I have been hoping someone was skilled enough to do that
wink.gif

one question... or maybe should I call it one wish :

for the "original" offlinelist someone created a plugin called "fakecollection" which would allow you to create dummy files and/or remove them by simply right clicking on the name. this was absolutely perfect to keep track of a collection
it does not seem to be working with your version, do you have any clue why ? (I used it on offlinelist 0.7.2 never on 0.7.3 that might be it... I don't know)

thanks anyway that is really very helpful

Cheers,
R

Sorry redia,

I don't have a clue why it won't work.
That's is why I post the dummy files with it.

If some-one else knows how to fix it, please let me know.

Heya Ice-Rabbit; if I am reading the thread correctly, you've abandoned the Wiiware/VC lists?
So your dats are now ISO only?

Hi Nago,

No. All are still in the full list. Only the seperate list are abandoned. Select in OffLineList the releases you want.

Can you tell me which dat gives the problems?
It could be an old dat which isn't supported anymore. These are the only dats still available (All list are combined in: Wii WiiTDB Full (xx).)

Great to see someone is still doing list since Psykos list stoppped updating months ago... but it would have been nice to have separate VC and WiiWare lists. Is it not possible to script it so that a dat can be easily built extracting WiiVC and WiiWare into separates?

I know you stopped the separate dats but some of us like them

I stopped the separate dats because it became to much lists. But if some like them I can revive some of them.

Would it be enough to make the English versions of the complete lists for?:
- VC (all type of VC) (Abandoned DAT: Wii_WiiTDB_VC_(En))
- WiiWare (Abandoned DAT: Wii_WiiTDB_WiiWare_(En))
- HomeBrew (Abandoned DAT: Wii_WiiTDB_HomeBrew_(En))
- Channel (New DAT: Wii_Channel_HomeBrew (En))

Or are there more lists you (or somebody else) want. 4 lists extra will be no problem, but for every type 13 lists (standard and world for 6 languages) is realy to much for me.

The files are the same in every list. Only the file name is different if it's available.
Just take a list and select English language. And all other files disappear

hiya.

Can this new offlinelist database be used to verify collection sets like the psykos and Nago sets can? I tried....but when pointing the files to my roms folders, and rescanned it would say no files found and move all my zips to the unknown folder?

Yes and No.

Al data is from WiiTDB. If the correct CRC is filled in on the site, it will work.
If no CRC is given I make a dummy CRC which is the releasenumber in my list. And then it won't work.
I don't fill the entries on WiiTDB, just use the xml file they make (and sometimes correct obvious errors that I spot generating these offlinelist dats).

So please all, fill in the correct CRC's on WiiTDB and it will work

Having some trouble using this... When it is opened for the first time it lists 1,000's of games all marked "Green/Verified".

I've dumped my original copies of mario galaxy 1 and Wii Sports to iso format and followed these steps:

1. Deleted all the dummy files in the ROMS folder to mark them as "Red" instead of "Green"
2. Clicked ROM -> Add New Roms -> Browsed to the .iso files of my 2x dumped games.
3. Wait while it scans them (takes 10 minutes - is it calculating the CRC's?)
4. Shows the list again but mario galaxy 1 and Wii Sports are still listed as "Red"

Is there a help file for this as I don't know how to use it.

This won't work in most of the times. OffLineList works with CRC. The CRC of the game must be exactly the same as in the list.
All CRC's are coming from WiiTDB. I'm only making an offlinelist from the data WiiTDB make available.

There is no help but google. All I did is built a new list to an allready existing programm.

That's why there are dummy files available. Keep your dump file on a good backup location. Place the corresponding dummy in the ROM folder and it will be green.

Hope this will help a little.
