Since this is an ocarina cheats post, can you post a guide on how to use ocarina/WiiRD cheats on VC channels? (I used every loader that's out there and no one loaded the cheats)

I wish I could , but I wouldn't know where to start as I didn't even know it was possible.
But , I will check around and see what I come up with. ;)

This Guide is OLD , but still kicking , as long as the programs work for it.
It seems though that the wii scene is slowing down and therefor some programs might not work like they should.

Can you add information on how to implement Ocarina codes for CFG USB Loader? I had cheat codes on previous Wii setups before but have to start from scratch and am having a really hard time Googling for anything useful. I remember I found a thread (on here?) of a compilation of CFG USB Loader-ready Ocarnia cheats too..

Go to the setting's and enable the option.
Go to the link/s provided above to get the cheats.txt/.gct file.
Put the .txt file in the root of your sd card.
You don't need to do thee above , if you download the .gct file.(Put in code folder ,on the root of sd card)

Really isn't anything to add!!

Jax

You also have to activate the codes as well. Look above.

Geckocodes.org refuses to load for some people. If anyone else is having trouble with it, use http://web.archive.org/web/*/geckocodes.org

I use USB Loader GX. Do you need to update the gameconfig file on the SD card root for each game you add codes for? I started by adding the code for classic controller support on Kirby's Return to Dream Land (Kirby's Adventure Wii in Europe) and I added the gameconfig file written for this game, but now when I add cheats/codes for other games I get the black screen, perhaps because I need to update the gameconfig file but I don't know how to do it.

gameconfig is not required for most games.
gameconfig is a different/additional patching method, some games use it to patch the patching system (for example, unlock the maximum cheatcode you can apply with ocarina, like Monster Hunter, or SmashBros mod).

very few games use gameconfig, so you don't have to worry about that file, unless a game specifically tell you it needs it.

The gameconfig should have a section with the titleID of the game you want to patch.
you can add more than one game in a single gameconfig.txt file if you format the file properly (titleID, etc.)

If all other cheats and games are not working anymore, try deleting that file to see if it fixes the problem.
Maybe you have another problem?
if it fix it, then the issue is really your gameconfig.txt file, verify its content and data format, or the file type (ANSI or UTF8, with or without BOM, etc.)

Hi Cyan! To be more specific, the only cheats I am interested in are the one for using the classic controller on games that are better played with it. The cheat I have working this far is for Kirby's Return to Dream Land/Kirby's Adventure Wii, the gameconfig file I am using only has code for that game (just one entry) and I got it from this thread:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/kirbys-...controller-support.312666/page-2#post-8307611

I wanted to get the same kind of cheat for Donkey Kong Country Returns and New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but I get the black screen and I have to unplug the Wii U, probably because I have the PAL version of the games and the cheats I got are for the NTSC version because I can't find cheats/code for classic controller for the PAL version of these two games.

I just tried an obvious PAL cheat for DKCR to see if it works with the gameconfig that already exists and it works fine.
