Notifications from dead blogs

I'm getting notifications from a blog that hasn't been posted in since 2015. Why is this happening?

Yes, I know I can turn notifications off but I want to know why this is randomly happening.

By the way, it seems you are watching blogs automatically if you reply. I didn't find any setting to turn that off.

There is an unwatch button somewhere different than normal threads. I believe it's at the bottom!

I believe he was talking about setting it so that not every blog you reply to is automatically watched, not unwatching a specific one

But I clicked on the notifications less than 5 minutes after receiving them, did they get removed that quickly?
