True, impossible to know if the physics are tied to frame rate until the game releases. If you look at games like Nier, though, it's really hard to get above 30 FPS at 4K even with high-end systems. So depending on optimization, it may not matter if it's framelocked at 4K.

Looking at it now, with KT's run of PC games, the controls are next in line for worries. I play Samurai Warriors 4-2 and can't use an Xbox One controller wirelessly because the game has some problem with it.

I only use wired controllers for PC (other than Vive), so not too worried about that.

    C'est la vie.

I've wanted to try Nioh, so what better time than on Steam where refunds are a thing if I'm not happy. ;D

After using apps like Xpadder and Pinnacle Game Profiler... I can tell you that I'm not comfortable with that approach. Not to mention button swapping for designated controller layouts is a mess. If I can't map in game then I have issues. Not because I can't do it, but because I shouldn't have to resort to third party configuration in this day and age.. When proper controller support (for a console game no less) should be there from the start.

If I don't like it, I can return it. So, it's whatever at this point. I just honestly hope KT will take the hint. It's been something that numerous gamers and reviews have brought to light.

sure it should properly support controllers, but theres an option if it doesnt. also you dont really have to configure much, just assign the standard gamepad template and done

    Oi, if you knew me.

Hm. It's not lack of controller support. It's broken controller support. Back to SW42 for example. When I try to play with my wireless Xbox One controller, I can't remap camera controls, as they're locked to my analog triggers. For whatever reason. KT games are the only ones that give me this issue.

Those specs have to be a joke, or maybe it's just another extremely shitty port?

Or it's just an intensive game?
    Derp?
It's not like games are all optimizable to run on potatoes. Some simply require higher specs. Dunno why you think your i3 potato would run things till the end of time.
Get it on PS4 if you're worried. The minimum specs basically are for a potato anyway.

Must be a pretty limited issue because DW8 and Blue Reflection both ran perfectly fine using my wireless xbone controller.

Who would game on a i3 when there is ryzen as a better alternative? Also I don't have a potato anymore, 4670k far from a potato.
How do you even manage to get the requirements that high from a PS4 even with slightly enhanced graphics? Lol!

DW8 sure as hell doesn't run fine. Tried it again the other week and all 3 of my controllers had one issue or the other.

PS4, 360 and One. Maybe I just have had luck.

Apparently the game uses directinput

"Xbox One and third-party XInput controllers do not work correctly (e.g. triggers not detected) due to the game using DirectInput instead of XInput"

Well, PS4 controller as DInput and emulated XInput works fine. The 360 controller worked amazingly. It's just the One in wireless has issues. I know their games favor DInput for the most part.

There's also a fix for wired Xbox One controllers. Still..

    Again, I hope they learn.

Could be dude, my wireless xbone and wired xbox 360 controller both have no issues with DW8. But I haven't tried any of their other games aside from Blue Reflection. Dunno what would cause an issue for some but not others. Weird.

In case you're not aware, the console version has 2 modes, one that is 30fps and one that is 60fps, so we know the devs aren't retarded enough to tie game logic and physics to the frame rate already. In the unlikely case that 4K will be limited to 30 (I just can't see this happening, that's completely artificial for PC) it's extremely likely moddable.

Locking framerates on PC (even 30FPS) is definitely not unheard of. I'm more concerned about whether or not we can go above 60FPS. Again, beefy system, want to push it. Skyrim, Fallout 4, Dark Souls... All games with physics tied to FPS, all of which run at or below 60fps. Giving an option for 30 or 60 FPS tells me nothing.. Other than 60FPS is the max..

I'll probably still buy it. However, until official confirmation comes in? It's all speculation.. Especially with the way the articles word things.
