i thought the something weird was about the fact the catridge cases being so big for a small cartridge..
notice how nintendo put theese little cartridges in ps4\xbox sized cases in a way to tell people "it's a home console" (that you can take anywhere)
there is not even a manual (at least some people claimed BOTW didn't had a physical manual) or any justification to be a big box..
it's just a big box so psychologically people will understand it's a home console...

they did it with ds and gba, and iirc with 3ds too. so...

Full size cartridge boxes? Nah they didn't...
However if you are talking about the lack of manual, yeah, it's normal now (since digital is good for environment and cheaper ) but the full sized box feels too empty
