Hello
I injected my First gc game Today
I used the wii u Download Helper
So i can start the game out of the wii u menu
Its not like the other vc Games
Ist Starts Direct without Virtual Console Year 2002 etc
When i press the Home Button of the wii u pad
The wii u restarts completely
The best is when i press the Home Button and can Close the game like all other Games
Ja There a fix?
that is how it works, nintendont cant stop the game that is why the console restarts, its how it works it not a bug and there is no solution.

Strange issue I'm having is with Dave Mirra 2, every other game works great (Original Wii, booting latest Nintendont from github from today... and older one's) game just turns off the Wii on booting it.
Creates memcardemu file, mounts game, then crash to red light.

could be bad iso, or corrupted save file.

Is trimming injected GameCube games, or even Wii recommended? What procedure/tools are best?
you can trim gc games with DMtoolbox, some games work some dont, most will work trimmed with DMtoolbox, wii games you cant trim them the app will trim them automaticaly when doing the inject.

Bummer I was afraid of that, having to re-rip all my Wii games.

Is there a program (for Windows) to edit nincfg.bin files? I'm thinking about writing one, but I want to make sure I'm not doing unnecessary work.

Having a minor issue, very rarely I'll boot up any game and I'll get a black screen but you can hear the Gamecube intro and music and sounds from the game loaded. Any suggestions?

Dont use the gamecube bios. if you delete it it should fix your problem, it is at the root of your sd and is called something like iplusa.bin

Nintendont injected as a WiiVC simply has no USB access and can only read games from the SD card.
Specifically, the Wii VC hijacks the USB mass storage code to load any games that may be installed on the Wii U's USB device.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

    For your R4
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
but why choose it over ysmenu @Psionic Roshambo?

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
