In before it's ALBW-themed with DS touch controls.
didn't nintendo say they weren't going to bring console game ports of they're games to smartphones when they announced their partnership with DeNA?
as for what type of game it could be, i can see it being a touch only based game like the ds zelda titles (Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks).
They'll do it, they know how much $$$ they can make with the success of Mario Run and Fire Emblem!
I say this as a big fan of the series; Fire Emblem Heroes is monotonous. I get sick of seeing the same backdrops for battles time and time again. I enjoyed it to begin with and even got a full team of 5* characters (and then some). There's just not enough variety in the game.
If they make a smartphone Zelda game, they need a way to keep players engaged for more than a few weeks.
Yeah but only from users without jb
Well, it is possible to do a complete zelda in touch controls, DS already proved that 2 times so this will be interesting.
If this keeps up, the 3DS wll be Ns last handheld...
Vowels are too expensive this time of the year.
inb4 zelda picross
zelda infinite runner
zelda puzzle booble
zelda rupee crash saga
zelda *insert more generic "mobile" games*
I'm really curious to see how this'll turn out. If anything, Mario run proves that nintendo takes the input methods to heart when they design a game.
The only thing I'm wondering is the "why". I thought that pokémon go and mario run were experimental dibbles to see what they could do...a backup plan in case the switch didn't work out, if you will. However, with the switch selling like hot cakes, nintendo is already (somewhat) competing against themselves on the mobile market (switch and 3DS). Are they going to triple things now?
It seems like they realize the potential in mobile gaming and are still testing the waters with their best IPs to see which formula works best before the fully invest in it.
Perhaps they are trying to lure people into getting Nintendo games on smartphones.
Only to realize that Nintendo games on smartphones are bullshit.
Then this will open the question, "so wait, this is bs, is there another way to play new Nintendo games?"
---> Lured into buying a console.
Perfect plan! /s
(but they need to keep publishing bullshit on smartphones)
it will be probably just a simple game based on zelda :/
I told you guys it's happening and you didn't listen. It's happening, deal with it.
Oh noes, the end of za warudo is coming!!!!
PS: A bit melodramatic.
I don't get the "another nightmare"
I've been playing Fire Emblem Heroes for months, first time ever I've got into phone gaming. The game is great!
Last Zeldas have been very successful too.
Seems a bit of hate to me.
This can be pretty good actually, at least as good as Super Mario Run. If its anything like the DS games it will be awesome i think, although i only see it being fun on a big smartphone or tablets.
Gets kids hooked early.
Link's crossbow training with touch screen controls!
I will need a better smarthphone .3.
